  • The Tears of Joy variety: Having discovered his wife is alive, Freeze sets out to make an organ transplant to save her from her illness. In the end, after Freeze is thought to be dead, a news report tells us that Nora is not only alive and well, but it was Freeze's own research that was credited with saving her life. As Freeze, watching from a window, cries in joy, so do we.
    • It's even more tearjerking when you remember that the accident that changed him also froze him emotionally, that he show any emotion outwardly.
  • Batman goes back into the burning oil rig to save Freeze.
    Batman: If I'm not back in time go without me!
