Heartwarming / Barbie as Rapunzel

Go To

  • Rapunzel has paintings of Penelope and Hobie.
  • Penelope and Hobie mashing berries to make some new paint for Rapunzel after Gothel ruins her art supplies.
  • As Penelope later explains to her father, earlier, Rapunzel was free, but came back because Penelope asked her to—so Gothel wouldn't kill Penelope's father.
Penelope: Rapunzel saved your life, and you didn't even know it! She was free and she came back here because I asked her too!
  • Rapunzel saving Princess Katrina from the pit trap, which directly leads to Prince Stefan helping and befriending her.
  • It's clear that Stefan adores his younger siblings and that they love him back, with his brother, sister and her friends even bravely standing up to Gothel on the night of the ball.
  • Rapunzel finally being reunited with her biological family—for so many years, King Wilhelm (Rapunzel's biological father) and his wife (Rapunzel's biological mother) thought their daughter had been kidnapped by Prince Stefan's father when she was baby and they probably weren't even sure if their daughter was even still alive. But in the end, King Wilhelm and his wife are reunited with their daughter, are able to see her get married and they're also able to make peace with Prince Stefan's kingdom.
    • When Rapunzel finally meets her dad after so many years apart, Wilhelm assures Rapunzel that he and Rapunzel's mother (his wife) have always loved her and never stopped thinking about her, quoting, "Constant as the stars above, always know that you are loved" (which was engraved on Rapunzel's hairbrush/paintbrush).
  • The silver smith brothers (one of whom actually made the magical brush that lead Rapunzel out of her tower) being reunited and attending Rapunzel's wedding.
  • Rapunzel and Stefan happily walking hand-in-hand down a beach, just as Rapunzel had always dreamed to do.
  • The version of the film's theme performed by Becky Taylor is a beautifully powerful song, which essentially sums up Rapunzel's desires to the see the world.
