- When Bolt Jenkins wins the gold in the 100-meter dash over Kip Ngogo in a photo-finish (Ngogo ran faster but had a bad start), he tearfully gives his medal to the second-place finisher Kip Ngogo, saying, "I—I can't accept this gold medal, I mean, he was better than me!" They end up sharing the medal.
- This is also a Shout-Out to Saturday Night Fever where Travolta's character (whom Bolt's an expy of) is awarded the dance contest trophy but declares that another couple, who danced better than him, deserved it more.
- "Away From It All", where Kurt Wufner, lost in a blizzard, stumbles upon the hidden paradise Dogra-la. He spends his time relaxing and getting close to one of the dog ladies, before leaving to compete in the downhill ski event. However, he declares that he won't stop searching until he finds Dogra-la again.
- "I can run forever if we can run together!" Cue Holding Hands.
- While most of the world is freaking out at Kit and Renee having a Relationship Upgrade, Dean Wilson just comments, "Hey, man, they're going all the way!" implicitly approving.
