Heartwarming / Agent Ali

Go To

  • Mostly Ali and Alicia's friendship. Although they started off with a tendency to tease each other, they gradually started to understand one other.
    • Besides his initial dislike toward her, Ali is aware that Alicia is the best among the others. It's just her stuck-up, arrogant side that really annoys him.
    • In Season 2, although Alicia knew Ali's mistakes, especially his action of stealing her Agents ID card, she still defended him from the other young Agents who bullied him, who were led by Rudy. She demanded a rematch of their competitive training session from earlier, and her exchange: If they win, they must accept Ali back as an agent in the Academy. If they lose, both she and Ali would quit being Agents.
    • Although their sparring ended as a draw, Alicia praised Ali's teamwork and offered him a fist-bump. When Ali asked her about the fist-bump because he was familiar with Chief Zain's fist-bump, she answered that he is not the only one who became Zain's secret student, much to his surprise.
  • At the memorial for deceased MATA Agents, there is a gold emblem in place for fallen Pillar Chiefs. Neuro has one for Zain, and Inviso has one for Djinn. Not Uno, but Djinn; their fallen ally. It was likely placed there before discovering he was Uno, but the fact it's still up there shows Ganz and Dayang consider Djinn separately from Uno.
  • In the canteen, when Ali is still saddened over Chief Zain's death, Alicia comforts him despite her own grief over him, and motivates him that they should always work together and keep carrying on.
  • Every moment when Ali is with his father. Mr. Ghazali is a busy man, but if he has free time, he tries his best to be closer with his only son.
  • Sure, Ali is constantly being scolded by Mrs. Munah due to his laziness and low grades. However, she still expects him to change for the better and reminds him so.
  • General Rama is confirmed to be Alicia's adoptive father due to her parents having passed on, reasons unknown. Besides his tough attitude towards her, Rama still cares for her like his own daughter. Which lead to Alicia deciding to follow in his footsteps since an early age to be a great M.A.T.A Agent like him.
    • Rama forbid Alicia to be Agents interestingly have heartwarming reason. Rama told to her being Agents is not child play and he prefer to see Alicia focused on study and having a normal life like many children on her ages rather than involve herself to missions.
Rama: "Don't concern yourself with M.A.T.A business ! Missions are NOT a child's play ! Enough of this ! Go home now !"
    • His gang, Mamak Maju, who act as her uncle figures are shown to be very doting over her.
  • Everything about Aliya's friendship with Niki and her relationship with Bakar.
    • Aliya helped Niki to change herself and her slum citizen life to be better after her house destroyed by Othman. Although their friendship ended so tragically and she is still bitter over Aliya's decision to become a M.A.T.A Agent, Niki still saved their last photograph together at her base.
    • Bakar initially is a shy boy who was always bullied by the other kids. Although Aliya wasn't as physically strong as his bullies, she kept defending him. Which inspired Bakar to be like her in the future.
  • The scene where Ali talks to Niki on the night when the other slum citizens celebrated his actions and invited him to dinner together. Although it's still ambiguous if Niki manipulated him or Ali made the choice himself to work with her, this moment is genuinely heartwarming especially when they share a hug.
  • Some fans feel that Jenny/Cinco's loyalty to Uno/Djin is more than 'the boss and his henchwoman'. Given that Uno was never angry or punished her after she failed to catch Rizwan unlike with the other Numeros Agents, this relationship may be equivalent with the bond between a father and daughter. If the theory about Jenny being an orphan who was adopted by Uno is true, she will be a perfect Evil Counterpart to both Rizwan and Alicia.
  • Upon realizing that Rudy has no family to celebrate Raya with, Ali and the rest of the agents in the Academy throw a surprise Eid Al-Fitr party for him. This shows that Ali bears no ill will towards Rudy despite his dislike towards him. Seeing Rudy finally crack a smile makes it all the more heartwarming. He also has a printed image in his room in Misi: Arena, which means of all the Misi:Raya Promotional Videos this one is cannon to the story.
  • Despite her role as The Mole and her motive still remaining ambiguous, Jenny tried to calm down Alicia and General Rama during their argument is amazingly nice.
"Cheer up, Alicia. You should listen to General. As a Dad, he would only want the best with you"
  • Viktor is normally a laid-back, calm, and relaxed. In Misi: Neo (the movie), we see he's much more jovial, energetic, and bubbly when he's around his mother. The two also have a very healthy relationship, which also makes the scene turn sad when Ali realizes what he doesn't have.
  • It's not brought attention to, but in episode one of Season 3, you can see Rudy's room in the video call. Whether it was provided by M.A.T.A, Djinn specifically, or from his own hard work it's nice to know he won't spend the entirety of his childhood in the streets.
    • He's also noticeably very happy and jolly after eating a meal. After starving for his childhood, he can finally eat properly.
  • Despite her rivalry with Alicia in "Arena", Kim is still friendly and even acts like a cheerful big sister figure toward her. Although sometimes showing her annoyance toward Kim, Alicia doesn't hate or act disgusted toward her. In "Mission: Hunt", Alicia still allows a selfie with Kim, even showing her sympathy toward her ( In her own way as usual) after hearing her story about her former best friend who disappeared after moving from the East Branch of MATA.
  • MISSION : CHANGE
    • It's shown that Kim and Jenny are from the same orphanage in somewhere in East Asia. At one night, Kim created and played a bamboo flute while Jenny enjoyed her performance. Despite both of them receive abuse and punishment from the handler, Jenny didn't hate or angry at Kim as she try to comfort her.
    • After the accident on the Cyberscience building, Dos sympathizes with Rizwan for losing Cuatro, and even feels guilt that they are too late to save Cuatro from the Numeros' rampage at his secret base despite claims that she never considered the Numeros Agents her comrades.
  • MISSION : CAMPING
    • The Young Agents and International Agents go camping together during day-off of preparation for the final session in Arena. They have fun together, such as gathering wood, building a tent, making food and having dinner together. They even share a story about their reasons for becoming Agents and share encourage each other.
    • Rizka apologizes for her previous action against Chris that resulted in him being dropped from Arena due to his injuries. Chris accepts her apology and forgives her, and both of them wish that they can have better performances in Arena next year.
    • It turns out despite being eliminated, the other Young Agents are still given a chance by Mentor to become a support team to defend the base rather than going on field missions.
    • Alicia and Kim sharing their feelings about their hardships, as they didn't want anyone pitying on them. Alicia admits that she is glad about meeting someone like Kim, who is her equal in skill and is a friendly rival.
    • Minor one on the Numeros. When Jenny tortures Trez for questioning their mission get the MATA Mainframe, Seis, Siete and even Aaron concern for him and even terrified of what Jenny has already done to him.
  • MISSION : Vital:
    • Though he still maintains his stoic demeanor, Rizwan looks genuinely impressed that his former pupil Ali managed to make the final round of the Arena.
  • MISSION : Champion
    • Kim just can't bring herself to kill Alicia. The bond she has made with her was genuine, and she fully understands how she has become an abuser just like their orphanage.
    • Bulat saves Ali's life even when all gadgets are offline. Throwing one of his puzzle balls at Cinco's face barely did a scratch, but it's the thought that counts.
    • Alicia gives Kim a tight hug after she had watched her sister die a grusome death in front of her eyes. She's gonna need it.
    • The MATA arena champion could either be Ali or Alicia. They share their signature fist bump before the results come out, showing the two aren't really competing anymore and are happy with whoever is crowned winner.
    • Alicia wins the MATA arena. Her portrait is even placed next to her father's and is in the same side as her uncles. When she receives the prize of IRIS and puts it on, Ali shows nothing but wholehearted support and pride for his friend. After the ceremony, Alicia even asks Ali if he's okay with her having the sentimental gadget his mom made, to which he jokingly asks to give it back.
