• This cover of Supercell's ''Sayonara Memories'' performed by 12 Vocaloids closed out the 2015 Nico Nico Cho Party, as a tribute to Vocaloid producers Powa Powa and Samfree, who both died that year.
• When I Get Home My Wife Always Pretends to be Dead. The husband recalls the lovely times he used to have with her and realises his neglectfulness. In the end, he allows the "deaths" to continue because "if coming home to see my wife's performance waiting for me is the shape our love will take, I guess that works in its own way".
• "I Like You, I Love You" is a cute song about Rin not be able to confess her feelings to her crush. It takes a lot of stuttering but she's finally able to do so the end.
• RinRin HIGH* MIND, a song about Rin being in love with her childhood friend and expressing her feelings. At the end, the boy announces that he's going to move away. Does the song do a 180 to tragedy? HECK NO! It ends with Rin and her boyfriend deciding to spend one last day together before he leaves and promise to keep in touch with each other, all while her family encourages her not to give up. Now THAT'S heartwarming!
• Innocence is Miku asking for everyone to try to get along without dragging real-world problems into the fun parts of Vocaloid, as well as an expression of gratitude for all the songs that people have made for her. It was written in the midst of a bitter three-way copyright dispute that was threatening to break the fandom apart. In other words, the writer was trying to stop a Flame War by reminding everyone about why they loved Vocaloid in the first place.
• One possible interpretation of the end of ''Rolling Girl'' by Hatsune Miku, which was about a girl who was implied to be bullied and her world was spinning wildly out of her control. In the fanmade PV, when she was about to end it, the boy who was with the whole time reached out and held her, telling her it was going to be okay now.
• Hocus Pocus a duet by Gumi and Miku. It's a sweet and a bit of a Tear Jerker song about a girl who is abducted by a woman who shared the same past as her. It's lovely.
• "Regret Message", the third of the 'Story of Evil' series in the Evillious Chronicles, as well as the end of "Daughter of White", which continues the setting of the song from Clarith (Yowane Haku)'s point of view.
  • Adding to this, there's mothy's South North Story. Non-canon aside, it's rather sweet when you consider the implications that the normal Rin has met the Rin from Story of Evil and appears to be trying to comfort her.
  • The Letter She Kept Waiting For, the (scrapped) finale to Story of Evil. And a touchingly beautiful finale it is.
    If my wish really does come true
    If my sins have really been forgiven
    I want the response to my letter
    And will keep waiting for it
  • The ending song that got made in its place, "Blink", is just as heartwarming, with Rin planting a seed and reflecting on the future.
  • And now "The Letter She Kept Waiting For" is canon again.
• Ah, What a Wonderful Cat-Life a romance with catGumi and catLen. Adorable can't even begin to describe it!
• Deco*27 never ceases to amaze his fans, and in 2010, he made a song, Once Upon A Me, which gives a nostalgic feeling that's sure to bring out the happy waterworks.
• "Smiling." Inspired by Nico Nico Chorus', and listening to all the Japanese Vocaloids released at the time(with the exception of Piko, Gachpoid, and Iroha) singing this beautiful song gives such a heartwarming moment. Then the best part of this video is when Len raps.
• Blessing. Halyosy Made the song for his by then 3 year old nephew to cheer him up whenever he is down. Even more heartwarming, there is a 13-People multi-language rendition that might even top the original; seeing so many people from so many places sing such a beautiful song makes you wonder just how lucky the nephew is.
• 'Reflect' is a song about a boy who doesn't believe he deserves others' attention. Is also a TearJerker.
• GUMI who has a certain reputation finally catches her break in Summer's End, Love's Beginning
• Ten-Faced has the boy Gumi is crushing on admit he has a crush on her, he just has to pick one side of her as she developed multiple personality disorder. Her response? Given that the reason for the disorder was thinking her feelings were unreturned, this confession gave her the strength to revert back into her healthy self.
• In scissorsloid, Luka (at 3 minutes) is happy to see her "big sister Miku" visiting her room, and asks what she'll learn from her. She then proceeds to issue compliments that are very sweet, and she seems to really love and admire Miku, and it's an extremely heartwarming moment, especially because of the video's yandereness. That is, until she takes a knife and stabs her.
• Reflection is absolutely sweet and it brings out those tears of happiness with just a bit of the bitterness.
• "Cat Ears Switch", by Rin and Len. The little chiptune-y beat alone can give you the warm fuzzies.
• "30 Seconds ~Love Story of a Little Demo~ " is an incredibly touching video featuring Miriam and Meiko.
• Last Night Good Night is a heartwarming, happy-tear-jerking song about that feeling you get when you first feel love for someone, with an amazing video.
• This rather suggestive video (NSFW) of Haku Yowane waking up in the morning following a night of passionate sex is one of very few moments of Haku experiencing genuine happiness.
• Wrinkleis a perfect mix of loveliness and sadness
• "Your Star" by Hatsune Miku. The sheer beauty and sadness of the song is what makes it so special.
• GUMI's "Time-Warped After Chopping My Stag Beetle" is very weird at the beginning, exactly as the title sounds. However, at around three minutes, it takes a serious but uplifting turn. Gumi meets her future dying self, who tells her to live without regrets because she (in the future) doesn't want to be sad.
• This relatively unknown little song called "Grave Visiting" (hakamairi) definitely counts. It is about a little girl (Miku) who doesn't really understand why her parents visit the cemetery every summer with her. She keeps being bored and wants to go back home. Over the years she finally understands the meaning of those visits. In the second part of the song she is now an adult and still visits the cemetery every summer. She tells her grandfather how she fell in love with someone and got married and introduces her own child to her grandmother.
• The famous "KOKORO" and "KOKORO*KISEKI" videos are a combination of Tear Jerker and Heartwarming Moment. The fact that Len spent his life making a program that would allow Rin to able to feel human emotions is already sweet. The song that Rin sings for Len, thanking him for all he's done, is what really pushes things into Tear Jerker and Heartwarming territory, especially when that song was able to reach Len. Although the actual followup to "KOKORO" revealed the scientist who made Rin was played by Gakupo, the story itself shows he wanted to give her a heart for so long that by the time he could finally give it to her, he was on his way out. He hopes he can hold out long enough to thank her, but at least wants her to feel happy.
• Miku's "1/6", in which she plays a girl who finds out that her boyfriend has been going through some major depression. She takes him to a pier where they go up a lighthouse, insisting that he needs to be "elevated" to cheer up. This works and he slowly begins to smile. All throughout the song she promises him that when she will take him to a satellite with her, where all of his sadness will melt away and only be 1/6 of his weight.
• This video, whose backstory is a fan's interpretation how Kaito became an Ensemble Dark Horse after the introduction of Miku.
• Let's Go to Heaven which is about a couple going to Heaven.
• Dear Mother by Miku, about a girl who doesn't quite understand why her mother is so protective of her and comes to understand when she herself gets married and starts a family of her own.
• Fake Diva. A song about the first 'fake' vocaloid ever created. When the most popular Vocaloid stretches her hand towards the new UTAUloid...

• This adorable and extremely well animated MMD short film about Rin and Len on Valentine's Day.
• This video of Yuzuki Yukari confessing her feelings to a boy she likes. She feels disappointed when apparently the boy hesitates to respond, but then she gets a surprise when he grabs her hand and kisses her. The whole atmosphere (it takes place at a park, and at night) and Yukari's soft voice enhances the whole thing.
• The ending of Elsetetra -The Witch of the Water Reflection-^note In the video linked to here, the title is incorrectly translated as "Elsetetra -The Silver Witch-", but because "silver witch" is what the character is referred to once in the lyrics, this mistake isn't as serious as it would otherwise be.: When the title character is on the brink of despair after not having been able to prevent her love interest's death, her love interest's ghost shows up to comfort her.
• Hello Again is heartwarming in that they can't understand each other but nonetheless stay waiting for when they can.
• Kaito and the twins wish Meiko a happy birthday. And it's adorable.
• Rin and Len's Magic Mirror by Hitoshizuku x Yama is a mix of heartwarming and Tear Jerker. It's the story of a lonely young girl, a magician in a mirror who grants all of her wishes, and the friendship that ensues. It's adorable, sad, and beautifully illustrated.
• Half and Half, a Luo Tianyi song about familial love. The producer composed it as a birthday gift for their father.
• News 39, a Mitchie M song fashioned around a fictional news program. One report is of a homeless man saving a puppy from drowning in a river, and the puppy's grateful owner giving the homeless man a job in thanks. Another is of a newly elected president fighting to drive down poverty after having lived in the slums prior to being voted into office.
• Three Queens starts out with some serious Nightmare Fuel, and then...
• Even Masa has some pretty cute songs out there. Awwww! In fact, the rest of the songs in the series' Nightmare Fuel makes that song even sweeter.
• Existence Imagination. If there was ever a song that showed what Vocaloid is all about, this is it. It's like a We Are Song for the entire Vocaloid family (even if there are only nine of them in the song).
• [1] is a cute song about a horned boy and a girl he meets in the woods. It's not demon and daughter.
• "The Intense Singing of Hatsune Miku", a sequel to "Disappearance of Hatsune Miku". It involves Miku coming Back from the Dead and realizing that as long as people still love and remember her and her songs, she will never truly die.
  • It gets sweeter when you take the new Magi Mirai 2021 theme "Hatsune Creation Myth" into account, over a decade after "Disappearance" was originally posted: Miku sings about all the ways Vocaloids have helped people over the years and that it's become more evident than ever that her existence will be remembered for decades to come.
• "Fire Flower", by Len, in which he compares his love for his childhood girlfriend to the intensity of a firework. The Project DIVA movie of the song takes it one step further; as it turns out, Len is performing the song at a concert that his old childhood sweetheart (played by Rin) is attending, and even directly references and looks at her when the reveal happens.
• The ending to "A Teacher, Detained". "Welcome home. We can laugh and smile just like we did back then."
• "39", a song made for Miku's 5th birthday, is about Miku giving a heartfelt thanks to everyone for supporting her throughout the years and how she'll continue to sing for them.
• Kaito's "Rose+Thorn", a bittersweet Break Up Song.
  For everytime I cried, I laughed a little.
  For everytime it hurt, I smiled a little.
  Even when things were bad, I was never really sad
  Now I'll say goodbye to the love that I had.
  • Meiko's Answer Song Witness basically boils down to I Want My Beloved to Be Happy. She comes to terms with the breakup and doesn't begrudge Kaito for wanting to leave her for Maika.
• Tsugai Kogarashi (Paired Wintry Winds). A lovely, romantic song about how the wind (Kaito) will always follow the leaf (Meiko) wherever it may go.
• The Undertaker's Daughter is particularly notable for being composed by Steampianist, who is best known for very disturbing works featuring Oliver. This song is a sweet story about a girl who discovers a nameless, uncared-for grave, and takes it upon herself to honor the deceased with a gift of seashells.
• Also from Steampianist, there's the Bittersweet Ending to "The Scrap Boy". Fair warning, though: You might want to get some tissues ready before watching the PV.
• Embarrassment-Hiding Adolescence, a song about sibling love.
• The Gods Say. It tells the story of Amaterasu when she thought she was unappreciated by the other gods and refused to come outside. All of the other gods decide to team up and cheer her up by dancing, singing and finally showing her beautiful face to her in a mirror while reassuring her that she is needed and loved. It's one of the cutest things you will ever watch. And for Kaito's anniversary, it got an adorable cover by both Kaito and his voice provider!
• Mama shows a mother watching her daughter grow from childhood to adulthood.
• Rainbow Spring. Graduating friends promise that no matter where they go or what they do, they will always have each other in their hearts.
• Mother A girl reconciles with her mother after being a dishonest child.
• Mukashi Mukashi no Kyo no Boku, or "Once Upon a Me," is bittersweet in its happiness. It's about being glad for the experiences you've had, but knowing that the people you've met at the time will always be there for you.
• At the end of "Paradise of Light and Shadow", Len frees Miku from the dragon's servitude by shattering her mask. In the finale she returns the favor by helping him and Rin vanquish the dragon once and for all.
• EmpathP's "Sunflowers in Your Eyes" is a sweet, simple love song about a person telling his significant other everything he loves about them. YOHIOloid's vocals are too adorable on this song.
• On the fanart side of things, anything that manages to make the normally Nightmare Fuel "Larval Rin" adorable. For instance, this one depicting her as Len's pet.
• This duet between Kaito and his voice provider, which as many have pointed out in the comments, sounds like a father-son duet.
• This cover of Starship's Nothing's gonna stop us now featuring Miku and Luka. Not only are the voices very cute and their English almost perfect; but let's just say, if you've recently watched Magnet and needed something to give you warm fuzzies with Miku and Luka after getting your heart broken by that song, this is pretty therapeutic.
• Gumi's "Childhood Blues" has a girl in love with her childhood friend wish that her love was reciprocated and then follows their relationship over the following 51 days and her sadness about how they were (supposedly) starting to drift apart. On the very last day, she finally works up the nerve to confess. And how does the boy respond? By blushing adorably and pulling her cheek, telling her the confession was long overdue. What makes it even sweeter is the fact that he had reciprocated the whole time (and quite obviously, as we see him looking at her numerous times over their growth), but was just stubborn about it. And even sweeter is the fact that this is a song where Gumi, who has a bit of a...reputation, actually getting the guy! Bout time!
• Nanahoshi Kangengakudan's "Hatsuaiken/First Experience" is an anthem about the decline of Vocaloid's popularity sung by the then mega-stars of the franchise (Gumi, IA, Miku, Len and Rin). Is it sad? Sure, but their honest determination to keep singing and their plea to keep being used until they can't anymore is nothing short of awe inspiring. And then there's the final refrain before the last chorus:
  "BYE BYE SENSATION"? Yeah, right!
• "The Boy and the Magic Robot" by 40mP is adorable in both Gumi and Fukase versions. The visuals for the song aren't anything to sneeze at either. The art style makes everyone look so cute and friendly!
• 40mP's A Happy End No One Knows is a lovely story about a couple growing old together, living ordinary lives and appreciating the simplest of things. While there's a lot of references to common Japanese folk tales about people like them going on extraordinary adventures or being important characters on some fantasy story, those are ultimately just an Bait-and-Switch for the true "happy ending" the old man and the old woman got: Each other.
• Kamikyoku is a sweet and uplifting song about finding salvation in what you believe in, whether it be religion or simply something that brings you happiness.
• I Love You. A very simple, very sweet little love song by Miku, and all the more beautiful for it.
• Double Lariat. The last "A radius of 85cm is the distance my voice can reach", coupled with the imagery...
• Pierrot (a Miku Hatsune song, but linking to a Japanese fandub), which is also a pretty hardcore Tear Jerker. About a clown who ignores his own pain in order to make people smile, and the one person who, depressed by his hiding his emotions, begs that he not lie about his emotions. She wins through in the end. In a single line: "It's okay if you can't bear it alone— I'll cry with you."
• free by 3AM is, by itself, a pretty sweet song. The narrator tells a boy about all the potential he has, and implies a bright future is ahead of him. The remake kicks it up a notch, telling him he's not alone. The cherry on top? This song is dedicated to a friend of the producer's.
• For Hatsune Miku's 10th anniversary a fan made an impressive medley of the most popular Vocaloid songs sung by Miku.
• Mind Voice. This was samfree's last song, and while definitely a Tear Jerker, some of the lyrics seem to be a message to anyone listening, about how he was happy with his life and didn't regret anything. "I'm certain I heard it... my heart calling out to me."
• "Miracle Paint" is a charming, adorable song wherein Miku sings about her feelings of love for someone all set to a Broadway-esque, jazzy melody. The PV is just adorable too, and chibi Miku shows off her impressive ability to scat-sing.
• Miku's "official" backstory is both this and a bit of a Tear Jerker—Miku's base concept is that she's an android sent from a future where all music has been lost. Given that she was literally born to sing, how much music she's made and how famous she's become, it's easy to conclude that Miku was sent to our time from the future to prevent all music from being lost.
• The strong fanon ties from Miku to Kaito can be seen as this in hindsight. When Miku covered "A Question to Hatsune" from Higurashi: When They Cry, the video started off with the message "Please remember Kaito sometimes" and ended with the question "Where are you and what are you doing now?". Four hours later, "An Answer to Hatsune Miku" pops up, has Kaito start by answering he was off eating ice cream, then cheering Miku up by covering "The Ice Cream Song". It ends with him asking to eat some together with her some time, kicking off a decade-long fanon relationship that could only be rivaled with his own relationship to Meiko. It also makes Kaito's Trademark Favorite Food downright heartwarming as well; that's the very snack that put him on the map, and the one that helped him make a dear friend of his feel better.
• Seasonal Feathers (or Feathers across the seasons depending on the translation) is a notoriously sad song, however the couple's love is genuinely sweet: Any time the woman asks if the man will still love her (if her voice isn't as pretty anymore, if her fingers aren't as beautiful anymore...), the man replies "Of course I will" without missing a beat. He even replies this to the last, unasked question (whether he will still love her if she is no longer human), and the last words are "I will definitely still love you."
• "The Endlessly Praising Sora Haruno-sensei" tells the story of a young girl (represented by the Voiceroid Maki Tsurumaki) and her middle school to high school teacher (Sora). After Maki's parents died, she expresses a wish to become a "super great, ultra fiery guitar player", and Sora supports her through it. By support, we really mean that "endless praise" mentioned in the title; she's nothing but loving and positive for Maki, making sure the girl takes the steps necessary to make her dream come true, as something of a surrogate mother figure for her. The last part, where Maki rocks out onstage, is especially heartwarming considering that Sora was bawling with pride while a person (implied to be the ghost of Maki's father) watches on happily.
• "Otogi wa Gin no Kuni" is about Fukase and Oliver snuggling together to keep each other warm during a cold and snowy night, with Fukase singing about how he feels loved and protected when in his company. Even if you happen to dislike the ship this song, when taken out of context and coupled with Fukase's soft voice, it's still absolutely adorable.
  A secret kiss just for us two.

• "House of Songs (Maison Hatsune)" is a song written to celebrate Miku's 10th anniversary. It depicts Miku as a friendly housekeeper while the Vocaloid fandom is a giant house, representing how for a lot of people, Vocaloid is like their home. And according to Miku, your room is always open.
• "Can't Make a Song!!", the grand prize winner for Miku Expo 2018, has some heartwarming mixed with a bit of comedy: it's about Miku fretting over her producer as he keeps trying to finish a song he's writing for her, even pulling all-nighters to do so. However, Miku continues to cheer him on, telling him she'll wait as long as it takes. Then in the end he finishes the song, allowing her to happily sing what he worked so hard to make to everyone.
• An older song, but heartwarming nonetheless: OSTER Project's "August Bride" has Miku celebrating her birthday by getting married. Awww!
• "DIAMOND", Mikito-P's song for Miku's 10th, describes the experience of being in the Vocaloid scene, and how aspiring artists and producers works that might have thought would never get anywhere have become something great.
  With these crude voices and awkward bodies,
  And with these butterfingered hands, what should we make today?
  Yawning, you whittled away at it, little by little,
  And now that fragment of yours is a diamond.
• To add yet another 10th anniversary song, "It's My 10th Anniversary But I Worked Til the Last Train" depicts Miku tearfully coming home late at night lamenting that she spent the entire day working rather than celebrating. However, just as she steps into her bedroom, she finds all her friends and family waiting to surprise her with a cake, singing about how Vocaloid wouldn't be the same without her.
• Doubling as an awesome moment, one concert had Lamaze-P, the man who made PoPiPo dancing alongside Miku as she sang his song.
• KAITO's voice provider Fuuga Naoto really loves KAITO and sees him as his son. He collects a lot of KAITO merch and even attended his 15th Anniversary Magical Mirai performance, saying he's finally gotten to meet his son.
• "Twin Masters" by Jesus-P has some lines where Rin and Len sing each other's praises (Rin calling Len handsome and kind, while Len calls Rin super cute and a genius) which can be quite sweet considering their common portrayals as a bickering, sibling-like duo.
• "Humansongs", the debut song of Porter Robinson's Vocaloid Po-Uta, is both this and a Tear Jerker. At the beginning, we see Po-Uta showing great joy and pride at the fact that he was made to carry on Robinson's legacy.

• "Get Wild", a duet between Dex and his voice provider nostraightanswer (who composed the song), is about a werewolf who befriends a human and makes a Declaration of Protection towards them.
  The full moon never felt like it'd be a boon
  But I'm so glad you dared to make a friend of a werewolf
• "My Crush Was a Monster Boy". Gumi has a summer romance with a boy who was raising a miniature Kaiju, only for him to suddenly get eaten by said kaiju. Gumi is devastated... until the monster starts talking to her in her boyfriend's voice. Turns out, by getting eaten by the monster, the boy became the monster and the two continue their romance where they left off. The students at school react predictably (namely, running and screaming), but Gumi doesn't care, seemingly loving the boy more now that he's in this form. When the government arrives to spoil the fun, the boy changes into an even bigger monster (now closer to the size of a proper kaiju) and obliterates the army sent to kill/capture him just to protect Gumi. It's unconventional to say the least, but it's yet another case of Gumi earning her happy ending.
• Eve's "As You Like It" has a small example toward the end, where the Perpetual Frowner protagonist finally cracks a wide, cheerful smile.
