Something that occurred to me on a recent rewatch... Rogue could REALLY benefit from having one of those mutant control collars around. I mean... they shut down your powers, they're easily removed... it'd be kind of a win-win for her. I can only guess that the writers never thought of that? Maybe it happens in the comics.
Too many ways for that to go HORRIBLY wrong. The collar could malfunction or break at an inconvenient moment, a villain with the right tech skills could hack it and render her powerless in the middle of a fight, etc.
You could say the former about any assistive equipment, and the OP was suggesting she would take it off before fights.
