  • Is it possible that the first seven episodes were part of a Stable Time Loop? And that Douxie's group were always destined to get sent to medieval times to ensure Gunmar's banishment?
    • No, it's not a Stable Time Loop. None of the characters begin to disappear whenever they alter the timeline and beyond trying to achieve a Good Ending, none of the characters really mention time paradoxes or trying-to-fix-the-timeline stuff being a problem or avoiding a tear in the you-know-what whatever. Also if it were a stable time loop it really would've made the whole journey ultimately pointless.
    • It reads like a stable time loop. Merlin never gave Douxie his staff for nine hundred years because he would give it to him in medieval times. Morgana possesses Claire in the present because, in the past, they had a falling out when Morgana accused Claire of betraying her. Blinky and Aargh are overly kind to "Master Jim" in the Trollhunters pilot because they remember Jim in the past helping defend their home, and takes it further by Aargh being pleased on seeing Jim's troll form. Bular was knocked away from the fight thanks to Steve asking Nimue for help, which was why he wasn't sealed in Killahead.
