Why does USA declare war on Angola when Schenck releases it during SAW?

Wouldn't they want an anti-German ally on the African front against the other African RKs?

  • Because the US wants control, not allies, and does not trust the African nation popping up on its border out of nowhere.
    • The obvious question would be why the US is railroaded into being so stuck on wanting control that they can only declare war on Angola (in a situation where leaving Angola alone for a while to see if the Afrika-Schild diverts forces to put them down would be a perfectly reasonable course of action, and could still leave the US in control in the end).

Why is the Dirlewanger Brigade considered a National Socialist nation?

Apart from Dirlewanger being an ex-SS member, the group doesn't really seem to care about the old Nazi racial policies and are more focused on going around on a Rape, Pillage, and Burn rampage while being a Bandit Clan. While they are a obviously bad lot, his rule seems to be more in common with Despotism than National Socialism.

Why is Jeane Kirkpatrick a possible president?

According to the available information her, she did not have any presidential ambitions whatsoever, so what exactly compels her to run for President in TNO?

  • Jeane Kirkpatrick's doctrine is rather unique, and from a story perspective she makes for a cynical choice for President, but still with some charm: she's a War Hawk while being a union supporter and an ex-socialist.

Why did Vasilevsky retreat past the Urals after WWII?

Even when Moscow fell, the rest of the Red Army still existed and retreated to the A-A line, eventually reorganizing into the WRRF. Why did Vasilevsky take his troops all the way to Mongolia instead of regrouping with the likes of Voroshilov, Zhukov, and Tukhachevsky?

  • Because Vasilevksy's plan was to come to the aid of the Mongolians, who were fighting against the Japanese, regroup and strike back at Germany from their base in Mongolia. They were too late however and Japan had forced the retreating Mongolian army into the steppes. Since they were already too far from Voroshilov's WRRF and fearing Yagoda's reprisal, the Red Army remnants decided to stay in Western Mongolia and form an uneasy alliance with the remnants of the Mongol army, patiently waiting for the moment they can retake Mongolia and exact revenge on Germany.

Why does Brotherhood of Cain even exist in such a state?

It is not a big point of discussion considering anything post-Taboritsky is non-canon but wouldn't the Brotherhood of Cain be a Satanist army in the fashion of Anton La Vey? Rather than population reducing scale murder and gorefests, it should have been a despotism but focused on destroying Christianity, but otherwise hedonist, uncaring but not insane! Don't scoff. Consider this. Taboritsky was a horrible tyrant that put Russia through hell with forced labor and senseless self-genocides. If he was a Jew, and all that he did was to destroy Russia through servitude to Abrahamic God, why not have fun and ignore the Nazi-style racism and genocides? Most of Taboritsky's population reduction was due to genocide of non-Russians and ethnically ambigious people. Motsny surely won't care for race anymore, considering he realized everything the Sturmoviki did was a lie. I am not proposing "wholesome chungus Sablinesque Lucifer TV Series Russia" but something along the lines of Siberian Black Army but with a Satan worshipping trend, hedonism and drug abuse.

  • That idea would make sense for anyone other than Motny. TNO Motny was always a psychotic anti-Semite, even by the standards of other Shturmoviki. If anything, Taboritsky's orders kept him under some degree of control. Turning to Hollywood Satanism allowed him to indulge his pre-existing genocidal urges without restraint.
