• What was up with the security camera footage?
  • It's never explained, although in the end it does show that the camera can't pick up the giant whale shadow that was flying around the city, that's it. In the beginning it shows Ren running away from the police to the right when he suddenly is going left. This is never explained!

• What happened to Ichiahiko in the end?
  • He says that's not his bedroom and he doesn't understand what's going on. Presumably he's living with his animal parents, naturally since he didn't have any connections to the humans world like Ren did. Did everyone in the animal world just forgive him? Who's bed did he wake up in? Does he ever come to terms that he's a human?
