• At the end of City of Ships, Arianna has abandoned her city in the care of a body double, runs away to a sea battle for which she has absolutely no training or preparation, so that she can "protect" her boyfriend, whom she has absolutely no way of finding or of keeping safe, considering he's the trained Cavaliere. In response, her father... grants her the complete rulership of Bellezza by revoking his Regency, after Arianna has clearly proven that she lacks any foresight whatsoever, and has endangered herself and therefore risked the safety and freedom of Bellezza as well. This is a terrible idea!
