  • When Lassard saw the hooker from the first movie at the party, she said "hey reemember me?" and he said "How can i forget? I have a question, when Mahoney played a prank to have the hooker give Lassard a blowjob from the first movie, Lassard only saw Mahoney come out of the podium, he didn't see the hooker, so how would he know who she was?
    • Um, maybe knew her...work. It's possible - remember he "returned the favour" to Mahoney at the end, remember?
  • Where was Harris during the third movie?
    • Not quite stupid enough to choose working for an obvious incompetent like Mauser, yet not willing to volunteer for another tour under Commandant Lassard.
    • On a course in order to get his promotion to Captain.
    • Running the precinct he's running in Citizens On Patrol.
  • Why was Hightower put in with the misfits? He doesn't have any glaring psychological issues or issues with authority or anything.
    • He's black. Remember the police commissioner's speech about the good old days when everybody was the 'right height, the right color', etc.? Remember the whole scene with Hightower turning over the police car and why? This movie is set far enough back in the timeline that some elements of the police department were still being openly racist.
    • There's also the case of him not knowing his strength. He accidentially lobs a rope off the roof during the first film.
    • Might be because he was a florist before joining the academy. During that time period, male florists were stereotypically thought to be gay.
    • Perhaps less of an issue, but he states in the first movie that he can't drive. Well, at least until he gets lessons from Mahoney.
  • In the first film, Mahoney claims he started the fight in the cafeteria after finding out Barbara will be expelled for it. Did he claim responsibility because he finally found a way to get kicked out or was it so Barbara wouldn't be kicked out?
    • The latter. Mahoney had decided to stay a few scenes earlier when Thompson flirts at a distance with him while he's waiting for Harris to put him on the phone with Reed. He took the blame reluctantly.
  • Why was Harris, a man openly opposed to the COP program, put in charge of it? The Commissioner suggesting that Harris sabotage the recruits in the first movie was because he was opposed to the lowered standards. But the COP program was being backed by the local governor, and was being touted internationally. Having the program fail on its pilot class while at the same time trying to show off the concept as brilliantly innovated to police departments around the world is a great way to make your city's police department look like a bunch of fools. Which, by extension, makes the Commissioner look like a fool.
    • Admittedly, it's been a while since I've seen the movie, but I think it's because the COP program was being held at the precinct that Harris was captain of, so Hurst probably put him in charge by default. If the majority of citizens taking part were reasonably competent, Harris probably wouldn't have objected to the program as much...but then again, if the majority of citizens were competent, it wouldn't be much of a Police Academy movie.
