• Why does Addie decide to leave her poor, worried aunt behind, and leave with Moze in the end?
  • Because she took a liking to Moze's lifestyle and to the man himself, father or not, whereas towards her aunt she seems to feel some animosity. It's not meant to come across as an objectively 'right' decision on her part (e.g., it looks like Addie's suspicions regarding her aunt's attitude were not warranted), but rather as one that fits who Addie herself is.
