• Why did Officer Raincomprix accept it when Mayor Bourgeois said he was fired? Mayor Bourgeois has no authority whatsoever over any Parisian emergency responders, which are federal forces. A by-the-book officer such as Roger would know that.
  • Given that Rogercop goes after the Mayor for abuse of power, it’s likely he didn’t want to make a scene in front of the kids, especially since the Mayor is shown here to have a Hair-Trigger Temper.
  • Parisian police are in fact national forces, since France is a unitary country, unless you count the Municipal Police, which the Mayor of Paris does have control of. Alternatively, Parisian mayors are elected partisan officials and thus may have the political connections with the national government to have Officer Raincomprix fired, if the officer actually served in the national police.
