Headscratchers / Metal Gear: Ghost Babel

  • How on Earth did no one know or mention the kill sats until the end game? It was an American developed project, somebody must have known. They effectively make Snake's destruction of the power plant a complete waste of time. In fact, Metal gear itself is sort of pointless if the only thing required in it is a WiFi connection to the satellites.
    • The WiFi connection however is justifiable: Metal Gear Gander had all the keys to unlock the KillSats and instantly fire all of them at once if needed be.
    • I'd imagine that the satellites are a last resort in case Metal Gear is downed; the missiles reentering the atmosphere and travelling to a target would - while difficult - likely be able to be picked up on radar and potentially intercepted. Like REX, the intent seems to be that the railguns deliver a payload that is almost untraceable, especially if Gander goes on the move immediately afterward.
  • Solid Snake's sneaking suit looking blue made sense in Metal Gear Solid: the landscape was bluish-gray, after all. But why is he wearing the same suit in the very green jungle?
    • Series tradition. Maybe if it had been released after Snake Eater, they might have switched things up, but oh well.
