  • Can you really burn down your house due to not following basic safety procedures while you're high on cocaine, ultimately leading to the death of 3 children, and have no criminal responsibility??
    • Probably. "Negligent Homicide" requires doing something that is obviously inherently dangerous. The only safety procedure he neglected was to put the screen in place, and (as the cops point out) forgetting to do that doesn't make you a killer. He didn't technically leave the fire unattended (his wife was home, though asleep). His actions were irresponsible, but didn't rise to the level of criminal negligence.
