  • The first part of the first season of the Animated Adaptation on Amazon beyond the original pilot "Applesauce / Cat and Mouse" and the If You Give a Mouse a Christmas Cookie special carried a rating of TV-Y7 instead of TV-Y. Why exactly this would be the case is rather unclear, as the show is very standard kiddie fare in terms of no objectionable dialogue, An Aesop moral teaching and/or Slice of Life fare, clean and colorful visuals and talking animal characters. The only possibility that even remotely makes sense is the somewhat adventurous nature of some of the stories, and even that is stretching it.
    • Maybe someone was asleep in the ratings system department. The fact that it's very handed (but still well done) with its lighthearted and sweet nature, and the fact that it has writers commonly found on PBS Kids, and the fact that preschool shows are usually very heavy on the sweet stuff, I agree with you on how it should be TV-Y.
      • Maybe so. When the second part of the first season came out, all installments of it were rated TV-Y. Additionally, Amazon eventually went through and re-designated every one of the show's installments, including the ones originally labeled as TV-Y7, as being safe for all audiences.
