- What the heck was revealed to Tony that led him to conclude he can't leave, and why was it being kept secret from others? Seems to be a not-so-subtle Hand Wave to keep the story moving.
- The trailer for the sequel reveals that Alex had bankrupted Hell House before going for broke on Abaddon, implying that Tony was told the company was in dire straights and needed a good opening night for everyone to get paid.
- Why didn't "Sara" cut out of the tape she handed over to the documentary crew the fragment depicting her own death? It risked ruining the whole thing.
- The goal of the hotel is to lure as many victims as possible. That's why it needs that documentary to be made, which would draw more people to Abaddon - and the fact that Sara turns out to be dead is like a magnificent final touch, ensuring the steady flow of visitors as we can see in the sequel. So it wouldn't have been ultimately a game breaker if Diane herself hadn't gone into the hotel: she was not the only target.
- Was there no list of the 15 victims the documentary crew could have laid their hands on? Sara should have been on it...
- I don't think she was on the list...
- How could they establish that there was 15 victims if only 7 bodies were ever found? Didn't the families of the deceased wonder about the bodies of their beloved ones?
- If Sara was the only Hell House LLC survivor, then the blonde girl didn't make it. But wasn't she standing outside the house in the first place?
- If Andrew Tully's purpose is to lure as many victims as possible, why did the house allow so many people to escape on the opening night before bolting the door shut?
- It overestimated its own storage capacity, overate and "puked" whatever it couldn't get down its throat right back up/out on reflex.
