• If the people in the Lodge are familiar with the Slurp() function and what it does (it's mentioned that Araki is an expert on it) why do they all act as if Zarah coming out of the Internet as a physical person is odd? They clearly already know that the Internet exists as an actual place that physical matter can enter and exit, so it should be obvious how it happened. Plus there's the whole business with Ivan's disappearance and subsequent visit to Sebastian, which they noted as sounding similar to it. You'd think they'd check to see if that's what the laser did.
