• So, how long is a "zerl," the Remulakian equivalent of presumably a year? The film seems to imply one zerl is about two human years, since Connie is a teenager by the time the rescue ship comes. But, the INS agents don't clearly age 14+ years, despite having been on the Coneheads' case since before she was born. I can buy that Remulakians mature faster than humans, as they clearly have a higher metabolism, and what was an unbearable length of time for them was only a couple years on Earth.
