  • CHIKARA started the Whisper-blackmailing-Princess Kimberlee storyline during the "lost" Season 17, even though they knew Kim had her bags packed for WWE NXT. Why bother starting a big storyline with someone who is leaving, especially because there would have been no way to know if she would actually make it to WWE Raw or WWE SmackDown or not. Granted, it worked out for CHIKARA that she was released, but, if she had made it to one of the main shows, CHIKARA would have been left with a big storyline with nowhere to go with it.
    • It was a subset of Whisper's "has dirt on everyone" gimmick and was specifically to write her off, as Season 17 was a transitional Season due to the amount of people who were leaving at the same time. If she didn't come back, well and good. If she did, it could always be brought up again. It was recently incorporated into the Crucible storyline, so it wasn't forgotten about.
  • CHIKARA having a lot of its Season 20 events at Baseball stadiums when its Grand Champion, wrestling baseball player Dasher Hatfield, is a Heel. If you are having events at baseball stadiums, wouldn't you want your baseball player character to be a Face?
    • Dasher was unmasked the month before the start of the baseball events. His son Boomer, who's pretty much inherited the same gimmick, is a Face and has had a pretty prominent spot on each of those events so far.
  • Why take such a beloved character as Bryce Remsburg, make him Director of Fun, and have him be totally inept? What could that possibly accomplish?
    • Absolutely no idea. He went from a more than competent referee to quite possibly the worst Director of Fun ever, which is saying something considering how awful both Wink and Quack were.
  • OK, Equinox loses his mask to Chris Hero and has to wrestle as Vin Gerard. Amasis lost his mask to Frightmare and wrestles the rest of his career under his own name of Desean Pratt. But, Gran Akuma lost his mask to Shane Storm and wrestled the rest of his career under that same name. Why the inconsistency?
    • At the time, Amasis was actually going to retire again. He ended up coming back under his own name later on, but hasn't come back to CHIKARA at all, so ditching the gimmick completely made sense. Also entirely possible that he had a falling-out with Quack and wanted to avoid the legal trouble that befell Jervis Cottonbelly.
