Headscratchers / Brain Damage

  • If Aylmer ate the brain of someone who was high on his fluid, would he end up getting high on his own fluid?
    • Well, most venomous animal species on Earth (like snakes and spiders) have an immunity to their own venom, though venomous animals of the same Family but different breeds (like if a King Cobra bit a rattlesnake) are not. If Aylmer ate the brain of an addict of his own venom, it is likely that he would be fine. If Aylmer's species had a "cousin" and that cousin-alien ate it, then it would probably be a different story.
    • YouTuber Roanoke Gaming did a review of the movie and a scientific breakdown of what Aylmer is and how it would work. His conclusion is the "venom" is actually the brain chemicals like serotonin and the like, fed to the victim in massive quantities the human brain wouldn't normally be able to produce in a single individual. His venom is basically all the feel-good juices the brains he eats produces, and he just stores them in his body for later use to make a victim compliant.
  • What was with the two men at the hotel where Brian stayed to experience withdrawal? One of the individuals had the appearance of a heroin junkie and when they both enter the apartment seems to ask if the other person is nervous. Could that have been another person suffering from another Aylmer?
