• Why did the lawyer, Thomas Franklin, believe that he had been duped? In his head, how exactly was he duped? He witnessed a simpleton with no ID at the estate, so he kicked him off the property. How would any of this bite him back and ruin his political ambitions?

• I know the plot wouldn't work otherwise, but why didn't the Rands even ask Chance for his insurance or anything about his home address?

• Was there meant to be more to the Thomas/Susan storyline? It appeared that the conversation about whether those two were a thing or suspected of being a thing was cut off midsentence.
