  • When Hana frantically calls Akiyama that she's stuck in the office due to some suspicious men outside. She's scared that if she tries to leave, she might get raped (dialogue that was translated to be more implicit in the remaster, but still spoken.) Akiyama stifles a chuckle at the notion, either due to her looks or due to the fact she's revealed to be just as capable in a fight as Akiyama. Or both. Hana catches on and angrily asked if he just laughed.
  • At the end of Chapter 2, Hana singlehandedly curbstomps three Shibata goons, then grabs a glass of water for Akiyama before returning to her work. Kido can only look on in utter shock as the two treat this as an everyday occurrence.
  • Just the way Saejima gets a revelation; he just pulls a log out of nowhere and chisels a wood figure in seconds.
  • In one of Saejima's substories, he is investigating an urban legend about kappas in Kamurocho. Turned out it was just some weird dude wearing kappa tights for food. At the end of the substory, a ''real'' kappa peeks out from a manhole at Saejima and retreats just before Saejima turns around.
    • In his "training" missions under Master, Saejima is helping explore some old air raid shelters back from World War II - except the second mission involves Master himself doing the excavating while giant boulders shake loose and basically roll through thin air towards him in a gleeful defiance of physics. Saejima's solution? Punching them into rubble with his bare fists.
  • The Russian Roulette substory if Tanimura wins. He's pretty sure the old man's gun was only loaded with blanks...until he fires at the ceiling and confirms that, yeah, the bullets were real. Yeah it's tense but hilarious in a Black Comedy sense, in that Tanimura acted tough and won by pure luck.
  • The fact that Akiyama keeps a hundred billion yen in a hidden vault, but anyone who comes across it can just push a button to get inside. The cutscene where Kido finds it purely by accident is hilarious in just how lax the security is.
  • When everyone is gathered at New Serena, there is a substory where the men suddenly get a baby at their doorstep. When his diaper needed changing, Akiyama, Saejima, and Tanimura immediately leave it to Kiryu and Date. Date argues that Kiryu should do it since he deals with kids at his orphanage, which he refutes, saying they're children, not babies. Kiryu argues Date should do it since he was married once, who refutes, saying if he was good with babies, he'd still be in his marriage. In the end, it fell on Kiryu to do it, and he promptly gets peed in the face for his troubles.
    • The reaction of Akiyama, Saejima and Tanimura is also the gem of the above sequence. They looked startled, even a bit scared, as if they were expecting Kiryu to use a HEAT action on the baby for peeing on his face.
  • During the prison break failing all the QTEs can be quite hilarious if you think about it. Saejima fails to get through several gates, then he sees another one coming down, getting an expression that just screams "Oh, come on..." before getting nailed again. Saito then popping out of nowhere and whacking him one is just the cherry on top.
  • Tanimura has a substory where he encounters a suicidal man and has to fight him into stopping. Or you can use a Heat Action to help him on his way. Don't worry, he seems to bounce back up.
  • When looking for the entrance to Purgatory, Saejima goes to the bathroom stall that always served as its entrance, only to find that its now an actual bathroom stall... that's currently in use. Saejima's solution? Rip the door open, revealing a poor sap taking a dump who gives an "Oh, Crap!" face that wouldn't look out of place in a zany anime or a Garry's Mod video. As Saejima tries the outside door, he doesn't even notice the terrified man before he's about to leave.
    Saejima: (completely unperturbed) My bad.
  • In Majima's fight, the final QTE has Majima jump off a wall to stab Saejima while shouting ORAORAORA. Complete the QTE, and Saejima grabs Majima mid-air. He gives out a little "Ara?" before Saejima slams his head on the wall.
  • In Saejima's fight against the Majima Family, one of the men on the sidelines is clapping as he waits to enter the fray.
  • The "Floriography" substory sees the Florist sending Takashi on various tests of character in exchange for helping Takashi find his long-lost father (none other than the Florist himself). While it's heartwarming to see how much Takashi has matured, it's also hilarious to see the various protagonists of the game being pressed as actors into the scheme and referred to their roles onscreen (Tanimura as the cheating "Sketchball," Akiyama as the "Creepy Scout" complete with a goofy dance that quickly became a meme, and Saejima as a "Meathead Yakuza").
  • One of Akiyama's Heat Actions in this game sees a passerby hand him a magazine... which he proceeds to roll up and swat the poor mook with it, then winding up while they're stunned, he rams it so far up their ass they go flying!
  • One of Saejima's Revelations has him observe a Professional Killer in a Cool Car as he drives off... except his car jerks forward hard enough for him to drop a lit cigarette into his lap, causing him to drive directly into the wall in front of him.
    • What makes it funnier is that before the crash the killer was speaking to a client in a deep and intimidating voice, then he crashes and starts crying in a high-pitched voice, before calling the client again putting the voice back on and saying he'll have to postpone and promptly passes out.
  • Saejima's barrel Revelation is the pinnacle of Black Comedy. He finds two random yakuza men in the harbor about to execute a third one by sticking him in a metal barrel presumably filled with cement. The man is blubbering for his life and the yakuza men are all smug and relaxed... Until they try to lift the barrel that is. What follows is the epitome of Epic Fail.
"Shit, this thing weighs a fuckin' ton!"
    "Keep lifting!"
    "No, please!"
"C'mon, lift your side! You hear me? You're not even lifting!"
    "I'm trying! I'm trying man!"
    "Wait, hold it! Quit moving!"
"Stay still, you idiot! Stay still!"
    • And then they drop the barrel, one of the guys trying to lift falls in the sea, the second gets crushed by the barrel, and the guy in the barrel rolls and hits his head in a dock cleat. Complete with dramatic strings and sideways zooming.
