Funny / Totally Accurate Battle Simulator

Go To

Due to the ragdoll-physics nature of this game alongside an army of googly-eyed beings, this game opens itself up to plenty of random fun moments.

The Game Itself

  • The various different units in the game can each have different visual attributes/deformities. Some subtle, others quite ridiculous. From head sizes that range from bloated to tiny, to eyes/pupils that can result in Wide Eyes and Shrunken Irises, the list goes on.
  • Any time Ragdoll Physics comes into play. Shenanigans include:
  • Some of the units are rather bizarre, going beyond the expected classes associated with their faction, the Secret Characters in particular opens itself up for some crazy concepts.
    • Haybalers: A unit equipped with nothing but a stick while wearing a haybale.
    • Wheelbarrow: Three farmers riding a wheelbarrow that rushes down and over foes while the riders both attack with a pitchfork and Produce Pelting apples. The driver has often been compared to Bob Ross.
    • Longship: A Viking ship carrying multiple Viking soldiers. Pretty standard for Vikings, except this ship is carried by two other Vikings hauling the load, who throw the whole ship at nearby enemies.
    • Cactus: Literally a guy in a cactus costume.
    • Wheelbarrow Dragon: Like the above Wheelbarrow, except with a lone farmer driving a wheelbarrow with a dragon head attached that breathes fire ahead.
  • A Cheerleader is a Support Party Member that reduces the cooldown of the unit they target, effectively making them act faster. With this in mind, creating an army of Cheerleaders to support a single unit can yield truly insane results. Such as a Hwacha firing a never-ending stream of arrows, a Catapult tossing boulders nonstop, a Scarecrow summoning crow after crow, You get the picture.
  • Cupids are archers that Invoke Kissing Under the Influence to distract and damage units. While this works well on the otherwise average units, the game doesn't seem to know how process this happening with units like the Catapult, Mammoth, or Jouster, resulting in them doing... strange stuff. Including (but not limited to) suddenly spinning out of control, back-flipping, or just plain defy gravity and fly.
  • One of the scrapped units from the beta was the Chicken Man, a unit that summons chickens, which is funny but fairly reasonable. Then there was the Chicken Man Man, a unit that summons Chicken Men.

Other

  • The first patch of TABS during early access presented a Rickroll after one opens the game for the first time and progresses through the welcome sign. It then opens to the main menu of the Open Alpha only for that to fall away. Finally, the following message is revealed and the real menu opens afterwards:
    "Just kidding. Happy fools day."
