• Ning Yi — in his disguise as a tailor — and Zhu Yin are talking when Zhi Wei comes looking for Zhu Yin. Ning Yi doesn't have time to get out of the room, so he hides behind a screen when Zhi Wei walks in. Then he knocks the screen over. Zhi Wei is understandably freaked out by a strange man holding a pair of scissors. Behind her Zhu Yin is visibly trying not to laugh.
• Later Zhi Wei meets Ning Yi in his own palace. She thinks he's just a tailor working for Ning Yi, so she asks him to arrange a meeting between her and Ning Yi.
• Ning Yi and Zi Yan are trapped in the House of Lan Xiang while the Crown Prince is on his way. They can't let him find out Zi Yan was meeting Ning Yi, so Ning Yi comes up with a unique way to get Zi Yan out of the building: he sends Ning Cheng to tell Da Hua her husband is in a brothel. Zi Yan looks much less enthusiastic about this idea than Ning Yi and Ning Cheng.
• It's a serious scene, but several grown men utterly failing to capture a bird in a fairly small room is pretty funny.
• Zhi Wei calls Zi Yan "a wife-fearing husband who is also perverted and strange". Unknown to her, Zi Yan is hiding behind a curtain and overhears everything. He looks very annoyed, but he isn't able to object. Then...
  Ning Yi: What did you say? Come here and speak louder.
  Zhi Wei: I said Headmaster Xin is strange, perverted and afraid of his wife.
  • Next Zhi Wei jumps to the conclusion Ning Yi wants her to spy on Zi Yan. Ning Yi pretends that really is his plan. Zi Yan rolls his eyes and walks off, but takes the time to deliberately knock something over as he leaves.
• Ning Yi tells his father "The Crown Prince has always been nice to me" in the most unconvincing way possible, looking like he's one minute away from openly rolling his eyes. The Crown Prince, who's tried to poison and frame Ning Yi, looks like he can't believe what he's hearing.
• Ning Cheng's teasing gets on Ning Yi's nerves, so he tells his other guards to buy ten bottles of vinegar and force Ning Cheng to drink all of it.
• Helian Zheng tries to sneak into Qingming Academy. He climbs over the wall to find Nan Yi waiting for him. Nan Yi promptly throws him back over the wall.
  • Eventually Zhi Wei lets Helian Zheng into the academy. Then he annoys Nan Yi again, so once again he gets literally thrown out.
