• Chas, the Scary Navajo Deputy, elicits a couple of very good dry laughs in this movie. First when he's on the phone with some loudmouth who tells him to "quit playing sheriff and go back to what you people do best," and blithely responds, "If I do, White Eyes, then you'll be in heap big trouble, 'cause I'm gonna track you down and shoot an arrow right up your ass." Then later when he has to haul drunken lowlife Amos out of his cell by the neck, coolly ignoring the latter's racist cracks and cheap threats to shove him down into a chair with a growled, "Sit. Um. Down!"
