...Also Twice can get funny too!
  • Dahyun's memetic eagle dance, which is even brought up in her zombie teaser.
  • Speaking of those zombie teasers Twice made for their debut…
    • Jeongyeon's version of the zombie teaser where she first shoves some popcorn into his mouth with an annoyed look on her face then, when he doesn't take the hint, she whirls around and SCREAMS in his face. The zombie promptly backs off.
    • Jihyo's zombie teaser which has her wake up on the bottom level of a bunk bed, stand up… and then nonchalantly reach up and put a blanket over the zombie on the top bunk.
    • Tzuyu's zombie teaser has her running along a bridge, with cuts to show a zombie shambling towards her from the other side. Ominous music builds, the zombie reaches out… and Tzuyu simply runs around him without even changing expression.
    • Chaeyoung's zombie teaser has her drawing in a coffee shop, when the zombies start pawing at the window. She barely even blinks before going back to her drawing, leaving the zombie looking vaguely surprised.
    • Sana's zombie teaser features her in a convenience store and reaching for something on a shelf. Suddenly a zombie pops up and grabs the product next to the one she's taking, snarling and moaning all the while. Sana's reaction? Give the zombie a WTF look and then push past him.
  • Jihyo told Nayeon the story of when she was a child, her unique face - which helped get her into entertainment - led other kids to assume she was mixed race (she isn't) and she was bullied for it. That's not funny at all. What is funny is that in response, she beat them up. Jihyo is not a particularly large woman now (except up top), and photos/video from back then show she was quite scrawny for her age. Nayeon busted out laughing at the thought of teeny-tiny Jisoo whooping bullies.
  • Nayeon's It's All About Me tendencies could become very grating very quickly, but the fact that she's almost always called out on it turns it into hilarity. And sometimes she plays it for laughs too.
    • When asked which Twice member looks best without makeup, Nayeon paused and then pointed at herself, bragging that she wasn't wearing makeup in one of their teasers. Jeongyeon, standing offscreen, immediately quipped, "You weren't pretty in that either!"
    • During a fan Q&A, Nayeon was given a bouquet of flowers. The blossoms were tiny. At some point a fan asked Nayeon how many flowers there were. After a Beat, she replied "One!" while pointing at herself and sporting a big smile. Jihyo, sitting next to her, looked half-disgusted before Nayeon started messing with her.
  • Nayeon and Jeongyeon both enjoy mimicking other members' quirks and it's always funny when they do. Nayeon's favorite targets for parody are Mina and Momo. Jeongyeon likes to poke fun at Jihyo's naturally loud voice.
    • Everyone had fun copying Mina's self-introduction on SIXTEEN.
"Nice to meet you. I am from Japan. My name is Mina." (spoken rhythmically)
  • Their variety show Twice's Elegant Private Life led to many of these. Some standout moments:
    • The Descendants of the Sun parody.
    • While on a "healing camp" trip, the girls were all sleeping at night, except Mina, Jeongyeon, and Nayeon, who pranked the other members by drawing on their faces with makeup markers. Not just a mark or two, but full-on face painting.
    • In another episode, they were put one by one into an elevator with a rather amorous couple as a Candid Camera Prank to test their feelings about romance.
  • On yet another variety show – they've been on too many to count over the years – Nayeon donned a baseball cap with bling on it, declared herself "M.C. Rail", and attempted to freestyle rap. Reactions from the members, hosts, and camera crew ranged from laughing to staring at the spectacle in horror. Chaeyoung and Dahyun's expressions in particular could be interpreted as, "Should we call the asylum or the priest?"
    • The irony is that Nayeon, like Momo, can rap and enjoys doing so. However, being able to freestyle is a very different skill that she does not at all have.
  • During a Weekly Idol appearance, it's revealed that Momo is suffering from a sore throat/flu, which sucks, but it does have the silver lining of making her voice sound uproariously hilarious, causing the MC's and members to playfully tease her about it. Seriously, get a load of this cute Japanese girl who suddenly has the voice of a thirty year chain-smoker and TRY not to laugh.
    • In that same episode, Tzuyu, Sana, Momo, and Mina (the non-Korean members) play a game in which they have to guess the missing word in a Korean proverb: "Cutting _____ with a knife" – the answer is water, meaning you're doing something useless. When asked for answers, Mina reveals hers: "stomach". Everybody reacts with simultaneous laughter and horror …except Momo, who wrote the same thing!
    • After everyone's got over that, they go to Sana, who wrote "neck" and thus restarts the horror. Also qualifies as brilliant, because that is how samurai's wives/daughers went out.
    • Finally, we go to Tzuyu, who's from Taiwan and thus couldn't be thinking of samurai, right? Hers was "clean", as in one clean stroke cuts everything.
  • For Knowing Brothers' music video "Sweet Dreams", Momo has to hit Lee Sang-min in the head with a pan, and does realistically well… because she dents the pan.
  • Nayeon and Tzuyu's facialexpressions .
  • Between her Deadpan Snarker tendencies and her occasional mishandling of the Korean language, Tzuyu is a goldmine of laughs.
    • Tzuyu wanted to write "JYP Nation" in Korean. She misspelled it as "JYP, you bitch" instead.
    • At the end of a show, the MC Lee Kyungkyu asks Tzuyu the typical, "how'd you like today" question. Her response is to tell them politely with a straight face that she learned a lot about Korean culture, that they were very kind to her, and that it was really boring. Then she realizes what she's said, and starts panicking, going "I meant it was really fun! It was really fun!" as everyone dissolves into laughter.
      • Even funnier, Lee Kyungkyu looks offended for half a second, before realizing what happened and laughing with everyone else, while GOT7's Jackson (also not a native Korean speaker) immediately high fives her.
    • In a backstage segment during the 2016 MAMA's, Tzuyu is talking to the camera about feeling sick and how there is no medicine. Jihyo, who is standing next to her, says "Unnie is your medicine," and gives her a hug. Tzuyu, without missing a beat or changing expression, replies, "That's why I'm still sick."
    • When the group appeared on Knowing Bros for the second time, one of the hosts asked if she watched the group's first appearance on the show, which she did. When asked if she felt sorry for being paired up with Kim Young-chul, she said yes. When asked for who, she said "For myself."note
    • "Tzuyu has a stomachache."
  • The TWICE TV episode in which the girls are parodying their portrayals during their time on the show Sixteen definitely qualifies.
    • Momo imitating JYP's smile.
    • Nayeon as a member of her own fan club.
    • Dahyun hamming it up as Mina, and hamming it up even further as Jeongyeon.
    • Mina's deadpan look while imitating Tzuyu the whole time.
    • Nayeon's portrayal of Sana in general.
    • The other girls laughing extremely hard whenever Dahyun tries to do her impersonations during the gag reel.
    • Tzuyu trying, and failing, to hit the high notes while impersonating Jihyo; her voice cracks during one attempt, and she coughs in another.
  • Their first appearance on Knowing Bros had the girls pretend to be delinquents attempting to bully the hosts. Hilarity ensues.
    • Jeongyeon gave them a banner saying "JYP is watching" while forcing them to hang it up on the set. One of the hosts jokingly said "Hey, JYP is Jo Yong-pil!" Jeongyeon had to hold back from laughing in order to stay in character.
    • When Tzuyu was asked who she wants to pair with, she looks around the room for a minute before saying "I don't mind anybody." (i.e. she's not that into anyone on the show). The flat, unenthusiastic tone and the Thousand-Yard Stare she has while saying it really sells it.*
  • Their second appearance on Knowing Bros also has its good share of moments.
  • The girls' third appearance on Running Man gave off some gems, especially when it came to the girls dancing.
    • Both Dahyun and Momo take the cake when it came to the dancing contest. What was supposed to start off as a couple dance to random songs ultimately ended up becoming a funny competition between the two of them. Some things to note:
      • Dahyun's cover of BTS' "Fire"
"I'm sorry, but I have to dance to this!" - Dahyun
      • Momo's cover of Celeb Five's "I Wanna Be A Celeb!" Yoo Jae-suk noted that her hands were spinning rather fast.
      • Dahyun's freestyle to BADKIZ' "Ear Attack". The hosts noted the blank look on her face, wondering whether or not she was possessed.
"Do you see ghosts?" - Kim Jong-kook
      • Both girls dancing to MOMOLAND's "Bboom Bboom". Lee Kwang-soo noted it was like looking at two shamans performing an exorcism.
      • Momo's cover of Sunmi's "Gashina" suddenly being interrupted by Dahyun who came in mid-way.note
    • Of course, the other girls got their moments as well.
      • Sana and Nayeon doing The Floss, aka the Backpack Kid Dance
      • Mina doing ballet while her partner, Lee Kwang-soo, struggled to follow along.
      "He's a human bird!" - Song Ji-hyo
  • Like the original American version, the Korean edition of Saturday Night Live is known for being tedious and clunky. Even so, it's occasionally brilliant and is the source of a few memorable and meme-worthy Twice gags.
    • The opening sketch doesn't feature the group at all, but instead stars Jung Sang Hoon discovering that he lives in a Crapsack World where not being a Twice fan is considered equivalent to being an enemy of the state. After being pursued by 'Twicesnipers' for casually criticizing the group, he finds himself alone on the street where public restrooms have to be unlocked with Twice trivia, and the ability to replicate the "Shy Shy Shy" lyric is required as a Trust Password for free passage. A mysterious stranger who tries to help with an escape across the water is found out and shot when he mistakenly confuses Mina from Twice for Mina from I.O.I. Finally Sang Hoon is captured by enforcement goons who attempt to forcibly reeducate him with Twice dance routines, but when he rebels by dancing to a Sistar song instead he's dragged away to be executed.
    • In a send-up of the K-drama "The K2", secret-agent-turned-bodyguard Ji Chang-Wook falls for Tzuyu the new maid, who turns out to be a spy as he initially suspected. She's so attractive that he can't stop asking her to a movie even as she's shooting him to death.
    • Four members of Twice find themselves in costume as Sailor Moon characters to help the SNL cast reenact the opening credits of the original animated series. Jihyo is dressed as Sailor Mars, Momo as Sailor Jupiter, Chaeyoung as Sailor Mercury and Mina as Sailor Venus. Funny mostly because Chaeyoung is unable to maintain a straight face through the routine.
    • This episode of Saturday Night Live also features the Three-Minute Girlfriend sketch:
      • Momo, Jihyo, Sana, and Mina are branded as "Always By Your Side" which is great when you're achieving in the classroom or in sports, but not so much when you're trying to attend to a private bathroom emergency.
      • Jeongyeon is the "Tomboy" who defends you from bullying and can open glass bottles with her teeth, but you can't compete with the hordes of girls who want to be with her.
      • Nayeon is the "Friend From The Class Across The Hall" but all she does is take your stuff because she wants your identity Single White Female style.
      • Chaeyoung is the "Good Friend" who, in the most bizarre non sequiter, turns out to be the exorcist Hwang Jung-Min from the horror movie The Wailing.
      • Tzuyu is the "Everyday Pictorial" who is incapable of doing anything but moving around in slow-motion with windswept hair and colorful graphical effects following her everywhere.
      • Finally Dahyun is the "Hometown Girlfriend" who knows everything about you and likes the same things you do. That's because she's a ghost from the K-drama "Hometown Legends" and only you can see her.
  • Both Momo and Chaeyoung seem to be fans of doing meme dances or dance challenges.
    • They seem to enjoy getting caught up in their feelings, so much so that they did THREE videos of the challenge!
  • Twice's 2017 song "Heart Shaker" has the infamous word 이상하게 ('isanghage'). It means "weird" but sounds like they're singing "Is Sana gay?" which, given Sana's extremely affectionate onstage personality, is to some fans an open question. At one point after the song's release, Sana did a solo livestream and fans spammed the misheard lyrics in the comments. Sana, who speaks even less English than Momo (she pronounced it "Is Sana guy?") answered with "Yes, I'm Sana."
  • Because they were roommates for such a long time, it's common to see Nayeon and Momo livestream together. In one, Momo is speaking to the camera while either Boo or Dobby is barking in the background. Eventually, Nayeon gets tired of the distraction and barks back. Momo never even bats an eye, suggesting Nayeon barking at her dogs is completely normal.
  • Another livestream, this one starring Momo and featuring Nayeon and Tzuyu, had Tzuyu notice and read aloud an English question to Momo: "Momo, can I be your dog?" Momo didn't get the question at first so Tzuyu repeated it. Off-screen, Nayeon answers in English, "Sure~!!" but then immediately turns to Momo and tells her in Korean, "No," before explaining the question. The horrified look on Momo's face as her brain cell feverishly tries to come up with a response is funny enough. She eventually replies, "Mm, sorry. You are Once."
    • In a follow-up livestream with Nayeon but not Momo, she saw the same question, muttered in Korean, "This question again…" and answered "Sure. Why not?" in perfect English while giving the camera a Death Glare.
  • Momo can be quite the Deadpan Snarker when she wants to be (on the occasions her brain cell works properly). During one livestream, Nayeon wanted to say something in Japanese, so she pulled up a translator app on her phone. Momo gave Nayeon a "Seriously?!" stare and, as the computer voice spoke the phrase, Momo mimed along to it.
    • Note that the reason Nayeon asked the app rather than the Japanese girl sitting next to her is that Momo has a tendency to forget Japanese (even though it's her native language). She'll also forget Korean if she's outside Korea for long. This is absurd and hilarious… until one learns about her childhood head injuries that may have seriously affected her cognition, or at least the speed of it.
  • When Jeongyeon isn't feeling anxious and/or having panic attacks, she can be quite the chaos agent thanks to her ability to flip between no-nonsense and playfully messing with the members.
    • Due to her health problems at the time, Jeongyeon did not take part in any choreography for "The Feels" although she was on-set for all three days of the music video shoot. On the first day (the boutique set), she sat in the background throwing pillows at Momo. During the prom scene, she kicked off her shoes and did an impromptu freestyle dance that had all the other members nearly rolling on the floor; part of this is shown during the credits scene at the end of the video.
    • This short uploaded to all of Twice's SNS platforms, titled "I Thought It Was For Me", shot during filming of Spring 2022's Time To Twice ~ Soulmate. Jeongyeon, in her "Yoo Beep-Beep" persona, spends the video messing with Jihyo – her second favorite target after Nayeon – as Jihyo tries her best to not react to Jeongyeon's craziness at all.
  • During a livestream with Sana, Jihyo unknowingly walked up to her and showed this face, thinking she was taking pictures. It wasn't until Sana said "Show me something pretty" that she realized she was on stream.
  • While most members dislike Twice's 2016 song "I'm Gonna Be A Star" (Dahyun is the exception), Nayeon is known to absolutely despise it. Naturally, people – Once and members – enjoy trolling her with it. Even fans who like it admit they also enjoy watching Nayeon suffer through her "favorite song".
    • During an appearance on one radio show, the members were asked to react to a song. The second Nayeon heard the opening beats to "I'm Gonna Be A Star", she put her headphones down on the table like they'd caught on fire. Meanwhile, Jihyo sat in her seat with an expression suggesting she seriously regretted her life choices, interspersed with an occasional facepalm. Nayeon got some joy out of it by poking fun at Jeongyeon's uncharacteristically high-pitched cutesy lines, which of course made Jeongyeon cringe. Throughout all of this, Dahyun was vibing out, joined occasionally by Sana.
    • During the 2022 USA Tour, Twice's Encore songs were chosen by spinning an upright game show wheel. On the first night in Los Angeles, the wheel came so close to landing on IGBAS that Nayeon tried to preemptively stop its spinning and yelled to spin it again. It ended up on "Dance the Night Away", the next space over.
    • Once who were at their shows in New York 2022 said the song was used for sound check on the first night.
    • During a lull in the encore during the 2nd New York show, Jeongyeon decided to twerk for a couple seconds just to mess with Nayeon, who looked shocked before facepalming – Jihyo voiced approval while Chaeyoung could be seen off to the side busting a gut. Nayeon then demanded they get on with the Encore Roulette. The very next spin landed the wheel on the forbidden song. Nayeon gave in and performed it, trying and failing to pretend to smile. As the song ended, Nayeon's microphone picked up her exclaiming, "Oof."
      • As "I'm Gonna Be A Star" played and members not named Nayeon made the best of it, Jeongyeon stood directly in front of Nayeon and twerked again. One could practically see what was left of Nayeon's sanity shatter as she smacked Jeongyeon's butt.
      • The actual choreography of "I'm Gonna Be A Star" features Dahyun briefly assuming her Memetic "Eagle" stance, which she of course did here. Even funnier was Sana trying to do the dance herself a few seconds later.
  • As the 2022 USA tour continued, Jeongyeon's anxiety lessened and she was able to open up more (leading to the twerking noted above). At the Oakland show, the now-infamous performance of "Rollin'" where Mina, Sana, and Dahyun all did extremely sensual hip-rolls during the chorus (Mina of all members started it), Jeongyeon – who had suffered a very real panic attack earlier in the show requiring Mina and Nayeon to calm her down – instead stood off to the side doing a helicopter-headbang, which is exactly as absurd as it sounds. Nayeon stared at her in horror, knowing Jeongyeon's weak neck had been the root cause of all her issues over the previous two years.
    • At the same stop, Jeongyeon had another amusing moment when she told the audience in Korean that she would extend her MC because Momo needed more time to memorize her (English) speech. Jeongyeon herself barely spoke any English at all during the tour, save for a hilarious "WHAT'S UP L.A.!!!!!" on the 2nd night.
    • Fast forward to the 2023 Ready to Be World Tour, during an encore performance of "Rollin'", Nayeon got Tzuyu to join in with the hip-roll dancing. Unsurprisingly, all the talk was about this, but what raised a lot of laughs was Jeongyeon, Momo, and Chaeyoung in the background. Momo started to dance, only to be ambushed by Jeongyeon who put her hand on Momo's head and spun her around like a doner. Chaeyoung joined in, spinning Momo faster until she got dizzy and stumbled over.
  • Nayeon is quite skittish and does not like being surprised – even after nearly a decade in the business she still jumps at confetti cannons. During Jeongyeon's USA Tour Video, Jeongyeon met up with Jihyo, and both went to Nayeon's room to bug her. They knocked on the door. We don't see what expressions if any they had, but Nayeon screamed and jumped back as soon as she saw them before calming down.
  • Whenever Dahyun gets angry, her exasperated facial expressions inevitably draw grins or laughs from the others or from viewers (and even herself, eventually). And because her nickname is 'Dubu' (Korean for tofu), angry-Dahyun was dubbed 'mapadubu' or 'mapo tofu' (a dish of Chinese origin, but nonetheless popular in Korea, known for being spicy).
  • An instance of That Came Out Wrong during the 2022 USA Tour. Nayeon introduced the song "ESPRESSO" and said she hated it, that it was more Chaeyoung's thing. It took everyone a minute to realize Nayeon was talking about the actual drink, not the song (which she likes). As documented above, there is one song Nayeon hates.
  • At the May 15th 2022 LA Encore show during "What Is Love?", Nayeon got so distracted interacting with fans that she nearly missed her cue to resume normal choreography. Realizing it, she sprinted (in heels) up the catwalk to the main stage and slipped into formation just as the bridge started.
    • Also at that show, Twice ended up angering their managers by refusing to wrap it up. Video of side-stage shows a guy constantly checking his watch, and another guy eventually drags the Encore wheel offstage while the girls aren't looking. By that point they had performed a record seven Encore songs (usually it's 4-5).
  • During one of the 2022 tour shows, Momo flubbed her English speech. That's not funny. What is funny is Nayeon corrected her, but was also wrong, which Momo realized almost immediately. Score one for Momo's brain cell.
  • Related to the above: In June 2021, Twice made an appearance on WIRED's Youtube channel to answer the most searched questions about the group. One was "how to pronounce Twice names". Nayeon answered "Tuwaiiiss~" very slowly and deliberately like she was talking to an idiot. Then Chaeyoung informed her the question referred to the members' names and everyone else burst out laughing.
  • During Twice's English MC in New York 2022, after Tzuyu almost sadly ruminated on whether fans only liked her because she's pretty/cute, she told the crowd that she's a quiet person. Without missing a beat, Nayeon quipped, "No you're not." Note that Tzuyu is undeniably a Shrinking Violet in public, but has been shown to be much more open when she's with the other members, plus this tour was very shortly after Nayeon had a lunch date with her in which Tzuyu finally opened up a bit after some wine (and evidently said quite a lot once the cameras were off).
    • Momo could also be seen off to the side mimicking Tzuyu's mannerisms during that speech.
    • Also as Tzuyu spoke, one of the members asked (in Korean, relayed by the translator), "Is this a Mission?" For explanation, see below.
  • Counts as a Funny Background Event for the production staff: during one of the group dance scenes for the music video for I Can't Stop Me, the girls started a game of Mafia led by Nayeon (managing a couple rounds, with reactions from the 'dead') in between takes and finished before the shoot was over, leading to playing other elimination-style games.
  • Any TW-Log series where the members are given a task to complete secretly. Failure means a penalty. The girls are naturally suspicious of each other and O.O.C. Is Serious Business gets invoked in these a lot. Especially for poor Tzuyu, who really shows in these that she's the worst liar on Earth.
    • During one of these games, while Tzuyu was distracted, Sana reached into Tzuyu's purse and pulled out her mission paper. With that, everyone knew her task. But, since Tzuyu is The Baby of the Bunch, they let her complete her mission anyway.
    • For their 2022 TW-Log, Tzuyu failed her mission for this exact reason. This time the others made her do her penalty, which turned out to be making a funny face and then using it as her profile pic for a month. But they still took pity on her by only making her keep the photo up for three days. The video where she makes the face and her phone were also blurred on the explicit order of the older girls (notably Jeongyeon, who was sitting next to her) to "protect" her. They were not as forgiving with fellow mission-fail-girl Chaeyoung.
    • Conversely, Dahyun went around making random requests or doing random things with the others, and since she'd be filming, she would invariably be questioned suspiciously 'is this for your mission?'. It turned out, getting the other members to ask that very question ten times in total WAS her mission. Funnier still, Nayeon was so paranoid about it, she asked several times OFF camera. Fast forward to 2023's TW-Log, Dahyun can't seem to shake the suspicion, and her vlog had several instances of the others querying her actions, especially Chaeyoung trying to sidle away when Dahyun wanted to talk, Tzuyu openly asking it, and Jeongyeon outright running away.
    • Also during the 2023 TW-Log series, Jeongyeon doing multiple cute voiceovers for some of the other members' vlogs while they mime her commentary.
  • Almost without exception, all the Time to Twice videos are packed with either heartwarming moments or funny moments (or moments which are both).
    • One extended scene of continued laughs was the final third of the Cooking Battle's last episode when Nayeon was 'revealed' as one of the judges and hammed up the announcement of the results (going so far as to joke about a commercial break, which the editors actually added! It was the TTT OP but sped up to only be a few seconds long). Nayeon's continued showmanship and building suspense drove Jihyo to actual tears, likely because she was laughing too hard (inducing a very rare snarky comment from Mina). When the results were finally announced, the cheers were shortlived because the prizes (which were heavily hyped up earlier on) were all TTT related vouchers ('cash' and single use certificates of debatable value). The winners' reactions ( in particular Dahyun's exasperated expression, Momo's vacant stare, and Jihyo's 'what did I cry for?!') and the losers' mocking applause and chants of 'wow' when Nayeon confirmed each of the prizes made it all the funnier.
    • During the Yes or No mini-series, the members posed each other questions, most of which were gift or perk related. Momo's, however, was to act aegyo for a minute. Sana started grinning at the nearest camera as cutely as she could before being told it wouldn't count (since Momo hadn't told them to start). Dahyun's display was greeted with shock, especially by Nayeon, who backed away none too subtly. And when Tzuyu's turn came around, even Momo was worried about the second hand cringe she answered Tzuyu's question of "to you?" (as in to whom she should 'direct' her aegyo) with a mock-horrified "please don't". The others responded predictably much to Dahyun's annoyance, who asked plaintively whether she was not cute. Upon Nayeon laughing that she was more 'shocking', Dahyun was edited to be red-faced in anger ('extra spicy mapo tofu').
    • The second Tdoong High School series saw the girls (minus Jeongyeon, since it was filmed during her second hiatus) go through a 'school at night test of courage' which split them into pairs, each with a brave member and a cowardly member. But while one of them trying with difficulty to babysit the other along the jumpscare course is funny enough, it was made even funnier by their interactions with the 'ghosts'. Without exception, even if they were scared, all of them were unfailingly polite, apologetic, and/or thankful.
  • To celebrate the release of her solo Self-Titled Album, Nayeon took part in a livestream unboxing of all four editions of her album, each of which has a slightly different photobook. She was not told the other pack-ins (messages from the members, cards, etc.) were random. ALL FOUR EDITIONS she opened ended up having the same extras. Viewers could practically feel her screaming to the heavens when she got the same cards each time. Even though it was her album, she was in that moment just like any regular unlucky fan and knew it.
  • Nayeon and Jeongyeon are not only the two oldest members of Twice, they've also known each other longer than almost anyone.* They have a history of bickering like an old married couple. In mid-August 2022, both needed to renew their passports to travel to Japan later in the year. They went to the government office in Seoul to do so. After that, Nayeon asked Jeongyeon to join her for a "commemorative photo" at a nearby booth. Cue them holding a sign reading (in Korean) "We Registered Our Marriage!" and making hand hearts. The reaction from most of Once – knowing it was a joke since same-sex marriage is illegal in Korea – was "It's about time they made it official."
    • Not even two days later, Nayeon held a livestream and someone asked her in English if they could marry Jeongyeon. Nayeon replied in English (in mock-shock), "No!! Jeongyeon is my husband!"
  • While Jihyo was promoting "Killin' Me Good" on music shows, Dahyun and Tzuyu visited her. At one point, Dahyun was questioned on why she was wearing such a nice dress. Dahyun's response?
Dahyun: It's for the dance challenge.
    • Dahyun was also crying when she answered, due to being nervous for Jihyo. It wouldn't have been as funny if she didn't take the time to make a joke.
    • Her outfit was also a huge contrast from Tzuyu's, who wore something more casual.
    • Better yet, Jihyo and the staff joked that Tzuyu might cry, too, at which she mimed rubbing her eyes (Tzuyu herself couldn't stop grinning throughout).
  • The official behind the scenes, Making of..., etc. content on TWICE's channel is typically edited in a mischievous way, with frequent funny captions commenting on the group's on-screen situation and their interactions, whether among themselves, or with the staff around them.
  • The TWICE "Fake Squid Game" is arguably the most chaotic the members have been.
    • While Nayeon, Momo and Mina gave up on the obstacle course, they called themselves "Chickens" and ranted about their safety and stuff. Cue Tzuyu passing by and saying how fun it was, shocking them into silence.
    • When Momo did the challenge consisting of stepping up to ever increasingly tall pillars, she barely made it past the minus points before crying that she wanted to come down. Everyone found it cute, though.
    • Nayeon was arguably the star of the whole mini-series, and she knew she would Never Live It Down, as she mentioned on Bubble.
      • Nayeon did worse than Momo in aftermentioned pole challenge, and when she wanted to go down, she kept screaming for someone take her hand, only to freak out when someone pulled her down. Most of the members ended up helping her down, and Nayeon screamed even louder when they touched her!
      • Jihyo predicted that she would be loud and sure enough, she was so loud that the editors had to mute her screams.
      • During the final game, Nayeon was supposed to say a heartwarming speech, but since she was screaming the whole time, the editors muted her screams again and replaced the audio with Nayeon's song "Sunset".
    • For the third challenge, they split off into pairs, starting off with Jihyo snarking about Nayeon going it alone. This was soon followed by Tzuyu, who was standing with Sana and Jihyo to one side (who immediately made one pair) and Mina and Chaeyoung to the other, quipping words to the effect of 'guess it's Michaeng, eh?!' before shuffling off to be with Dahyun.
    • The basketball game... was something else, as no one was playing it properly. Even Tzuyu and Chaeyoung were questioning if they were actually playing basketball.
    • Dahyun tied her hair up during the swing game, but the harder she swung, the more her hair got undone. The hilarious part is the fact that the scruchie in her hair managed to stay on.
