Funny / Super Mario Sunshine Versus 2

Go To

  • The very first line in the versus:
Josh: M?, what does M stand for?
    Tyler: Manboobs!
  • Later, Tyler forgets what the acronym FLUDD stands for. note  And he says this while it's on screen.
    • His guess, "Fancy Lesbians Underestimating Destructive Dildos". Josh cracks up and then Tyler does a reenactment of two lesbians playing with said toy.
Tyler: Enter it. (He then screams as Josh laughs again).
  • The entire "douche canoe" tangent.
  • Josh and Tyler making fun of all the people asking how Tyler owns the game when he gave away his copy in the original versus:
Tyler: You can't buy a second copy!
Josh: There are more copies in the world than just ours?!
  • Tyler talking about his friend's sex store in episode 2.
  • Episode 3 features Tyler taking on one of the secret levels in Ricco Harbor, which contains several giant, spinning cogs as a platforming challenge. Tyler refers to one that throws him off as a 'cock', instead. This would be standard fare for Tyler, had his next statement not been, "It fucked me!"
  • In episode 3, Tyler replacing the Hover Nozzle with the Turbo Nozzle and then going to do the Red Coin mission of the Secret of the Dirty Lake, making his F.L.U.D.D entirely useless.
  • Tyler's repeated fails in "Red Coins on the Water", even getting a game over.
  • In episode 4, Tyler comes up with "The Nope Song", where he says a random phrase, followed by Josh yelling "Nope!". It goes on for a good two minutes.
  • Episode 5 is filled with even more inappropriate jokes and non-sequiturs than usual. The subtitle at the beginning says it all:
"If this is your first video to watch by us...RUN. This episode is crazy."
  • Josh and Tyler get about four minutes into episode 6 before they remember to do the intro. Gets even better in the next episode, where they forget to do an intro at all.
  • Josh falls off a ledge and makes a long string of swears that Tyler turns into a rap, even giving it a beat.
  • In episode 7, Tyler puts a list on-screen of Youtubers who are no longer relevant, which includes JoshJepson.
  • Episode 8 features the two doing a drunk episode. Hilarity Ensues obviously enough.
    • One particularly hilarious moment comes from Tyler using the Mission Tradition lifeline on Josh to make him redo the first Petey Piranha shine (which isn't exactly hard), and just after he finishes doing that, Tyler realizes that he himself has been doing a shine he already got, making the whole thing pointless.
    • At the end of the episode, after an extremely heartfelt speech from Tyler and Josh, Josh is at a loss as to how to end the episode. Tyler's response? "I'll say one three letter word that is the best way to end anything...bye." The Anti-Climax of the statement broadsides Josh, who has such an intense laughing fit Tyler leaves it in over the outro song.
  • Josh and Tyler playing the game "Walrus" in episode 10.
  • In Episode 12, Josh creates a hashtag that Tyler apparently finds so offensive he has to bleep it out. Josh continues saying it just to give Tyler more editing work.
  • In Episode 14, Tyler pretends to be a DJ introducing a famous artist: Josh W. Jepson. Josh, of course, goes along with it, and has to improvise a few bars of songs whose titles are given to him by Tyler.
Tyler: He has songs from the charts, such as "Plastic Surgery is the Life For Me".
Josh: I just got a boob job / and it was botched!
Tyler: And he has hot new singles like "Titties and Tequila"!
Josh': Why are all my songs about boobs? / I don't know. / I'm gonna get drunk!
Tyler: And he has his hot new single that is trying to take his switch on things, and it's called, "Asscheeks in Argentina".
Josh: Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce / Jiggle, bounce, bounce!
  • In Episode 18, Tyler insists that Josh is a hardcore Lady Gaga fan, and that he can quote every one of her songs off by heart.
Tyler: Sing "Poker Face", Josh! You got this!
    Josh: (tunelessly) Po-po-po-po...poker face.
    Tyler: Bad Romance, go!
    Josh: (still tunelessly) Ba-ba-ba...bad romance.
    (Both erupt into laughter)
  • Episode 21 has Josh attempting to stall the end of the episode in order to get one last shine - specifically, the Fluff Festival shine in Pianta Village. Josh has reached the fluff, only for Tyler to learn what Shine he's working on and:
    Tyler: Level Leaver.
    • The episode ends on Josh's Stunned Silence, followed by Tyler yelling "BYE GUYS!"
    • Which is also glorious Laser-Guided Karma for the last episode, since Josh used Bipolar Controller resulting in Tyler failing it. Especially since he was set to get the shine on his first attempt when it was one that also gave him trouble in the first series.
  • Episode 22 doesn't show Josh faring much better, with Tyler using a coin collector on him during his next attempt at the fluff festival shine - something that would've been meaningless had Josh not been on the cloud where the shine appears with no way back to collect said coins. Though he does fall off the cloud anyway, so he was kinda screwed from the get go there.
  • The finale. Josh has beaten Bowser after clearing Corona Mountain first try, even before Tyler reaches Bowser. How does the loser act in desperation? Well, he starts by trying to use Level Lever on his opponent. 2 problems:
    1. Both of them are out of all lifelines.
    2. Josh is in a cutscene.
