101A - House Fancy

101B - Krabby Road

  • Patrick can play a mean belly.
  • The songwriting session does not go according to (Plankton's) plan:
SpongeBob: Hey Plankton, can our first song go like this? ("sings" loud distorted guitar note; Plankton covers his ears) And then turn into one of those songs that goes- (makes high-pitched electronic screech; Plankton almost gets knocked off his feet)
  • Plankton tries more extreme means to get the formula out of SpongeBob's brain... by getting his brain out of his head.
(Plankton groans as he pushes a stereo console topped with vacuum tubes across the floor)
    SpongeBob: What is that? (points)
Plankton: It's my, uh, recording equipment. (Evil Laugh)
SpongeBob: (excited) Oh my GOSH! What do I do?
Plankton: (pushes up an electric chair minus the electrocuting apparatus) Just take a seat here and I'll strap you in. (SpongeBob sits in the chair and Plankton tightens a pair of wrist straps and puts a set of headphones on SpongeBob's head) Now just relax, and let the equipment do its job.
(Plankton switches on the "equipment," which begins beeping as a brain-shaped bulge is sucked out of SpongeBob's head and into the machine, lighting a green LED labeled "Brain")
Plankton: (grins and rubs his hands) Now, let's see what's locked in his subconscious. (turns radio tuner dial)
SpongeBob: (singing to the tune of "My Darling Clementine") Time to feed him, time to feed him / Now it's Gary's feeding time...
Plankton: Nope. (turns dial again to lower "frequency")
SpongeBob: (singing to the tune of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat") Brush, brush, brush my teeth / Gently keep them clean...
Plankton: (turns dial again to raise "frequency") The Krabby Patty formula's gotta be in here somewhere!... (sound of static; Plankton scowls and hits the device, then turns around) What's going... AHHHHH!
(Patrick has taken the headphones off SpongeBob and put them on his own ears; he stares off into space while drooling and moaning until the device explodes)
  • When SpongeBob sees Plankton making off with the Krabby Patty formula, he yells into the mic and the bottle shatters. The ingredients are made visible... and they're all in gibberish.

102A - Penny Foolish

  • Mr. Krabs chattering like a dolphin while driving.
    • And then when he's chattering like a dolphin again in front of the movie theatre...
Frank: You know I'm not really hungry?
Fred: Yeah, let's go see what this fat guy is yelling about.
  • Mr. Krabs imagining the round stuff he sees are pennies, including the moon!
  • An attempt of borrowing a penny is to put on a slide show about coins. SpongeBob would offer Mr. Krabs one...if he had one.
  • At the end, after Mr. Krabs leaves SpongeBob's house, the latter discovers that his "gum wad" is really a $500 bill. And Mr. Krabs, none the wiser, is digging up the yard, still thinking that SpongeBob has a penny.

102B - Nautical Novice

103A - Spongicus

  • After Mr. Krabs says that Plankton's new business is desecrating his mother's grave, his mother appears eating a Krabby Patty and saying "I'm right here!"
  • Mr. Krabs' mother appearing at Plankton's Colosseum and yelling "I want to see some body parts!"
  • The "Everybody Laughs" Ending where everyone eventually gets tired of laughing and they walk away with bored looks on their faces.

103B - Suction Cup Symphony

  • At the beginning of the episode, Squidward is playing the clarinet and making his usual horrible racket doing so. SpongeBob is outside gardening, and concludes that Squidward "must have eaten at Mario's last night" and is suffering from flatulence as a result. He then notices a couple of construction workers putting up a billboard and declares that since Squidward would die of embarrassment if they heard his case of gas, he'll pretend his gardening tools are making the noise. The construction workers couldn't care less what the noise is, but Squidward is unamused when he hears that SpongeBob thought his clarinet practice was "gastro-intestinal distress."
  • Squidward is horrified when he finds out that while writing the song, he also wrote down all the sounds SpongeBob and Patrick made while they attempted to fix the latter's posterior. Which means the audience gets to see and hear all of Patrick's "treatments."

104A - Not Normal

  • SpongeBob learns to become normal after being convinced by Squidward that he isn't. He turns into a dull, round, hole-less version of himself without buck teeth, sitting in an office cubicle in place of his grill and making Krabby Patties via computer.
SpongeBob: (in a calm voice) Hi, how are ya?
  • "Huh, what happened? I lost my job, my best friend, and now I'm too normal for Squidward."
  • SpongeBob going back to his usual self after seeing Squidward's "normal" self.

104B - Gone

105A - The Splinter

  • While SpongeBob is struggling to remove his spatula from the ceiling:
SpongeBob: (after taking the spatula out of the ceiling) Wow, this thing was stuck really good. (puts it back in and continues pulling on it)
  • Despite how mean-spirited the act was, Squidward utterly trolling SpongeBob into thinking he'll have to go home because of the Splinter was a riot. He flushes his hat and spatula down a toilet, tells him that it's the rule, stands there smiling as the poor sponge hyperventilates or cries on him, and admits he won't tell Mr. Krabs about the injury... "Because he already knows." Squid has enough time to grab two pillows to his ears before SpongeBob screams so loud he rolls out of the Krusty Krab and back into the kitchen like a tumbleweed, smiling the whole time.

105B - Slide Whistle Stooges

106A - A Life in a Day

106B - Sun Bleached

107A - Giant Squidward

  • The first person to mistake Squidward for a giant monster while he's chasing SpongeBob and Patrick reacts by pulling her son's arm like a ripcord, turning his legs into wheels and she flees while riding him like a Segway.

107B - No Nose Knows

  • Patrick completely overreacting to foul smells around him, including rotten garbage. He dashes back home and thinks he is safe... Then Patrick's messy way of living rears its ugly head.

108A - Patty Caper

108B - Plankton's Regular

109A - Boating Buddies

  • "No no, I didn't. I never said that. [Student plays back what Squidward said] I don't need your help, and I don't need you! [now talking] Jerk! [student shrugs] All right, I said it. But that was before."
  • "JOHNSON!!!!"

109B - The Krabby Kronicle

  • SpongeBob staring at a lot of newsworthy scenes, including what appears to be a huge mutant emerging from a manhole, and declaring there are no interesting stories near.
  • SpongeBob makes a news story about Patrick standing next to a pole. Mr. Krabs changes it so it says Patrick married the pole. This is funny enough, but at the end of the episode, Patrick shows up in a tuxedo with the you-know-what...
Patrick: Hey, can you fix me and the wife up with a couple of Krabby Patties?

110A - The Slumber Party

110B - Grooming Gary

  • Gary's undercarriage check — he attacks anyone who performs one.

111 - SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One

  • The scene where we find out that Davy Jones' locker is guarded by the REAL Davy Jones, complete with "Daydream Believer" in the background!

112A - Porous Pockets

112B - Choir Boys

  • This episode opens with Squidward taking a long shower and singing in preparation for his first rehearsal with the Bikini Bottom Men's Chorus. As he exits the shower, the following exchange between Squidward's bathroom fittings takes place:
(the toilet, its bowl functioning as a mouth, sighs in disappointment as Squidward walks straight past it)
Toilet Paper Roll: (the perforations between the squares form bespectacled eyes and a mouth) Don't feel bad. He didn't use me yesterday either.

113A - Krusty Krushers

  • SpongeBob and Patrick getting beaten up. ALL OF IT.
  • SpongeBob and Patrick being put in a literal "sleeper hold," which involves rocking them to sleep like babies.
  • Patrick managing to defeat the reigning champions with his "buns of steel."

113B - The Card

  • This clever bit of meta-humor involving Patrick's character:
Patrick: SpongeBob, you can't always expect my usual brand of stupidity. I like to mix it up; keep you on your toes. (Patrick then walks off a construction site and starts falling.)
  • The super-rare platinum hologram animated talking card, #54, which shows Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy standing there.
Voice on card: Mermaid Man says...
(Mermaid Man ducks as a fist comes in and decks Barnacle Boy)
    Mermaid Man: Buy more cards!
  • Patrick doesn't care for pockets, thus he keeps things he needs in the wrinkles of his backside.

114A - Dear Vikings

  • When meeting the vikings:
Gordon: I guess we should introduce ourselves. This is Olaf. And this is Olaf. And this is Olaf. This... is Olaf, Olaf, Olaf, Olaf, And... um...
    Viking: Olaf.
    Gordon: Olaf.
Squidward: So, let me guess. Your name must be...
    Gordon: Viking: That's right, Gordon!
    (SpongeBob and Squidward are confused)

114B - Ditchin'

  • Patrick drinking SpongeBob's fancy bubbly water.
  • Mrs. Puff going rather nuts over needing SpongeBob to return that bathroom key.
  • This bit:
Mermaid Man: And remember, stay on the path of evil!
Barnacle Boy: It's stay away from the path of "evil!"
Mermaid Man: Oh. Wh-what is evil?
    (Barnacle Boy grumbles)
  • Be real for a moment. Does This Remind You of Anything?
Officer Slugfish: You're playing with a convicted felon, and we know he's violated his parole somehow. You might as well confess, Dale.
Dale: Hey, man! I haven't done nothin'!
Officer Slugfish: Oh, yeah? Well, what have you got in here? (pulls out a satchel of gummi fish) ...Hm. Quasi-Gummy Chewy Candy Fish. Is this how you have fun? By eating your own kind?! ...Scum. Like. You. Make. Me. Sick. Cuff him!
  • The Bikini Bottom Hug Fest.
  • After Mrs. Puff gets arrested for ditching jury duty, SpongeBob promises to never ditch class again, making her angrily wonder what he means by "again" as she's taken away.

115B - Cephalopod Lodge

  • This episode has it's fair share of laughs, such as SpongeBob's plan to get Squidward back in his secret club: Pretending to be an eel (which is the mortal enemy of the cephalopods) by dressing up in a giant live-action sock, scare the members, have Squidward "defeat" them, and the members will hail Squidward as a hero and return him in the club. It works, but just as they were celebrating, SpongeBob and Patrick join along, while still wearing the live-action sock, which they take off, revealing the whole plan, causing all three of them to get kicked out again.
  • SpongeBob and Patrick decide to form their own lodge and invite Squidward to be their leader:
SpongeBob: (he and Patrick follow Squidward home) Squidward, you're the lodge expert. What do we do first?
Squidward: (going into his house) Say goodbye. (slams door shut)
    SpongeBob and Patrick: Goodbye!
(they then climb through Squidward's window into his house)
SpongeBob: So anyway, Squidward, I was thinking we should be working on our secret lodge initiation.
  • Their initiation into their secret club, which involves a jellyfish zapping their tongues.
  • Their secret handshake, which looks like a game of patty-cake, except SpongeBob and Patrick have their own technique to it: they don't use their pinkies.
  • When SpongeBob and Patrick are talking to Squidward while they're in the sock outside of the club, not only does the sock look real, but they move the sock's "mouth" when they talk.
  • After SpongeBob discovers Squidward not being himself at the beginning, he runs into Mr. Krabs' office, where Krabs is building a statue of himself out of pennies.

117A - Shuffleboarding

  • SpongeBob and Patrick throwing people behind bars for stupid reasons (such as "Your shoe's untied!").
  • SpongeBob and Patrick's fight against Man Ray at a laundromat, culminating in Man Ray throwing his head at SpongeBob only for it to fly into a washing machine. His head shrinks due to being dry clean only, and his voice becomes high-pitched to match.

117B - Professor Squidward

  • SpongeBob and Patrick getting hypnotized by the metronome.

118A - Pet or Pests

  • All of Gary's fights with the worm. Clearly worms and snails are unfriendly indeed.
  • SpongeBob ringing Mrs. Puff's doorbell continuously. He rings it no less than 30 seconds.

118B - Komputer Overload

  • Without Karen, Plankton can't even remember that he's supposed to blink.
  • When Plankton's robots begin destroying each other, he tells Karen to press a button. She hits a button that causes the SPU-31 to deploy a hammer, then Plankton screams before it hits him with the hammer three times, flattening him.

119A - Gullible Pants

119B - Overbooked

  • The cake reading "Sorry About the Scabies."

120B - Toy Store of Doom

  • SpongeBob finding Old Man Walker when he searches through his and Patrick's toy chest at the beginning of the episode.
  • As the toy store closes, a little boy whines as he's being dragged out of the store right after he finds a toy he wants, then somehow escapes being clutched by his dad's hand and tries to run towards the toy... only for dad to suddenly rush in and tackle him, dragging him out again.

121A - Sand Castles in the Sand

  • This episode is pretty funny in itself. It starts out with SpongeBob and Patrick knocking their sand castles down, but it turns into a full-fledged war with armies, knights, warriors, cannons, giant mechas, fighter jets, and nuclear bombs...all made out of sand.
  • SpongeBob's first counterattack on Patrick is pretty chuckle-worthy, as his attack team includes a guy riding a bull and a rock star who pays a metal riff as he charges forward. And when they bust down Patrick's door, they're greeted with a cannon.
    Patrick: Oh, hello...and goodbye.

122A - Chum Bucket Supreme

  • Plankton's Bad "Bad Acting" when pretending to eat a piece of chum.
  • Plankton's attempt to create a slogan for his chum is awfully wordy; it uses the word 'metabolic'. When Patrick tries reading it, his brain catches on fire and we're treated to a Call-Back to SpongeBob's own mental breakdown in "Squilliam Returns"; the Patricks inside Patrick's brain attempt to escape it as a fire begins in the language lobes. The hilarity continues when they try to escape through a pull door by pushing on it. When the pushing Patrick claims that it's jammed, another Patrick suggests this:
    Mental!Patrick: Push harder!
  • Plankton hires Patrick as a marketing consultant at the Chum Bucket. Patrick's suggestion? The classic slogan "Chum Is Fum" (changed from Plankton's original of "Chum is Metabolic Fuel"). And it works - customers line up in their hundreds.
  • Patrick's reaction to a Chum Bucket sales graph on which the line is literally going into the toilet: "Your potty has a shocky thing in it."
  • Patrick was just on fire in this episode.
Patrick: What's that number before one?
    Plankton: Zero?
Patrick: Yeah! Congratulations! You got zero customers!
  • Plankton installs a microphone next to the cash register, leading to some megaphones on the top of the restaurant, so every time he makes a sale, the CA-CHING is heard throughout Bikini Bottom, just to suck it to Mr. Krabs. This becomes Plankton's downfall, though; when Patrick quits, Plankton goes on a rant saying that he doesn't need him because the people of Bikini Bottom are very stupid, unaware that the microphone was still on, so Bikini Bottom hears all of Plankton's "The Reason You Suck" Speech and react accordingly.
  • The hockey players are obviously ticked off when they overhear Plankton's rant:
Hockey Player: What was that about doodoo dunderheads, eh?

122B - Single Cell Anniversary

123+124 - Truth or Square

  • The alternate versions of the show's theme song, featuring Squidward, Patrick and Mr. Krabs.
    • Usually, the show's regular intro has Hans come in to give SpongeBob his signature pants when he comes out of his house in only his underwear. In Squidward's theme song, he does the opposite, removing Squidward's pants when he comes out wearing them.
    • Patrick's theme song doesn't even get past the part where his pants are put on by Hans, as he laughs afterwards and falls off of his rock and into the inside of his house.
    • Mr. Krabs' theme song is probably the most humorous of them all, as Hans swipes his bag of money, prompting an angry Mr. Krabs to chase the hand and then go back to pick up the dollars that fell out of the bag.
  • Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog, insulting Patchy.
Triumph: (Talking to Patchy) Maybe you should consider wearing two eye patches; that way you won't be able to see what's become of your life!
    Patchy: What?!
  • Later on, Triumph pokes fun at the special itself.
Triumph: I'm sure it's a great script. (away from phone) 3. 2. 1. (to phone) FOR ME TO POOP ON!

125A - Pineapple Fever

  • After closing all his doors and windows with wooden planks (with Patrick's help), SpongeBob claims that his house now can withstand anything nature throw. Cue Squidward angrily destroying the door.
Patrick: I guess Squidward's not part of nature.
  • It's Squidward trapped inside of an enclosed space with SpongeBob and Patrick. How can this not end in hilarity.
  • When Patrick can't comprehend that there's only one place that the last piece of a puzzle can go, he thinks so hard that his aging process increases by 30 years per second and he becomes around 200 years old. And when Squidward points out where it goes, SpongeBob tells him it wasn't his turn and he thus cheated. At a jigsaw puzzle. You can just imagine Squidward's limit breaking.
  • Squidward's reveal that he's carrying chalk for some reason is hilariously over the top and dramatic.
    Squidward: I...brought some!

125B - Chum Caverns

126 - The Clash of Triton

  • This bit:
Neptune: I realized there was only one last resort.
(Cut to a real-life beach resort)
    Neptune: Not that resort!
