The video game and anime doesn't shy away from hilarity, especially the anime that is in the hands of someone who had a part in a certain Isekai.

    General
  • Each Episode—Main Story, Side Story, Character Episode, the works really—involving Karyl just can't go without her suffering from her Butt-Monkey Straight Man status. These include yelling at Pecorine about eating monsters, complaining about the latest problem when facing the stage's boss, going Tsundere over being nice, grousing at Karin whenever she manipulates the Gourmet Guild into something, and so on.
  • Any story involving Ninon will guarantee will make you laugh.

Video Game

    Main Story
  • Pecorine, not knowing what are Yuuki and Kokkoro's names are at the time, refers to them as Rice Prince and Princess, basing on the time the two gave her rice to eat when she got hungry.
  • Kokkoro getting annoyed with Yuuki's Chick Magnet tendencies. At least every chapter in Part 1 is guaranteed to have one such moment.
Kokkoro: Master, how many girls have you managed to get along in just one month?
    Yuuki: Around 40?
Kokkoro: Is that so? It is as Ameth said. Honestly, Master...*grumble**grumble*
  • In Chapter 8, Kokkoro tries to spoonfeed Yuuki food, only for Shizuru and Rino to get in the way doing the same. Christina admires the harem he's got, then teases Daigo if he's lonely, to which he snaps he isn't. Christina and Muimi keep at the joke by offering to spoonfeed him too, which just sets an annoyed Daigo off.
  • Chapter 9:
    • Yuuki and Kokkoro escape from Tomo and Matsuri into a crowd of fans cheering for Carmina's performance. In the cutscene when Carmina sings, despite the threat of being found, Yuuki happily cheers along with the crowd.
    • When the monster rampages into the concert venue, Carmina calls Yuuki for help. He can respond by dashing over to them or... running at them waving glowsticks he bought offscreen like a true fan.
    • After Kokkoro is rendered unconscious by the monster's rampage and taken into a hospital, Carmina's producer comes over to take them away for their country-wide tour—and the producer turns out to be Christina, who managed to secure the position as part of the operation against Kaiser Insight. Yuuki's surprise is plain to Christina, who laughs herself and lampshades the contrast of being a Blood Knight manager for "sweet" girls.
  • In Chapter 10, "A Wish Upon a Shining Star", the episode starts off with Hiyori suddenly introducing herself and her guild, then explains they've been exploring the Tower of Sol for a (sham) lead on the Sol Orbs but now got in too deeply to back out. She then starts dramatically exclaiming "What will become of Twinkle Wish?" like she's the narrator for an anime. Rei then chides her for being loud inside a monster-packed dungeon. Meta-wise, Hiyori's recap might be subtle lampshade on how the prequel's protagonist trio's been out of focus from the main story until now.
  • During Pecorine's rescue in Chapter 11, Kokkoro and Yuuki encounter Jun who attempts to stop them as per orders from Mana. The player has two options to choose from during this encounter, remove Jun's helmet or boost your allies. Choosing the latter option leads to Yuuki boosting Jun's power discretely and causing her put too much force in her charge. End result has Jun slam full force on the wall like a cartoon character leaving a Jun-shaped crater in the process.

    Character Stories
  • In Shinobu's 4th bond episode taking place in That World, she notices spirits (all of them female) following Yuuki so she tries to communicate with them by allowing them to possess her body. Turns out the spirits are Yuuki's great-grandmother, a policewoman, a nurse, a novelist, one who thinks of Yuuki as her boss and a cyborg. Shinobu's dad sums it up:
Shinobu's Father: Ghosts or otherwise, it makes me sick to see you surrounded by girls, brat.
  • During Anna's 6th bond episode, she takes Yuuki to a mystical spring called the Waters of Remembrance, which we later learn has the power to awaken the drinker's true personality and long-forgotten memories. Once they arrive, she drinks the water herself first, whereupon she instantly loses her chunibyo personality for a few moments and becomes deadly serious. Upon coming to her senses, she is completely horrified by what happened. Moments later, Anna has Yuuki ingest several mouthfuls in the hope that it will cure his amnesia. Instead, Yuuki's mentality reverts to that of a hungry newborn baby, with actual sound effects. The completely horrified Anna is forced to take care of him until he recovers. Afterwards, they leave the cave, never to return, with Anna insisting that Yuuki forget what happened.
  • While Yuuki and Misato are out shopping together, she and Yuuki bump into one of the girls from Misato's nursery, who is with her pregnant mother. After the girl and her mother leave, Yuuki turns to Misato and asks her directly where do babies come from? In a moment that is both funny and awesome, Misato answers his question, but in a way that is both honest and evasive, by saying it's all about love!
  • During Monika's 7th bond story, she arranges to have lunch with Yuuki. Upon arriving at the restaurant, she sees two women trying to seduce Yuuki. Furious, Monika rushes over and, after failing to convince them that she's an adult, tries to make them leave by claiming to be Yuuki's girlfriend. Not believing her, the women demand that she prove it by giving Yuuki a kiss on the lips. Seeing what is going on the other patrons eagerly start to chant "Kiss" over and over again. The end result of this is that Monika becomes so embarrassed that she punches Yuuki through the roof and into the sky.
  • In the 6th episode of Chieru's bond story:
    • The girl in question decides that she wants to see Yuuki. After her attempts to surprise him fail abysmally due to him not showing up, she learns that he is working at the moment. Hearing this, Chieru decides to go on what she calls a little "observation trip" to see what he does. After hearing her plan and confirming that she is neither his family nor lover, Yuuki's work colleague asks Chieru if she is his stalker. Chieru insists that she isn't!
    • Later on, whilst watching him, Chieru spots the girls from Elizabeth talking to Yuuki and realises that her crush was deadly serious when he said that he knew many women. She is not pleased.
    • Finally, when Yuuki catches her in the act, Chieru asks for permission to watch him from a distance. Once again though, she insists that she isn't stalking him, even asking who would honestly spend their time watching Yuuki from the shadows like that. A moment later, they spot Ayumi watching Yuuki from the shadows.
  • In Mifuyu's 5th Bond Episode, she and Yuuki, whilst pretending to be boyfriend and girlfriend, take part in a competition aimed at couples. They eventually manage to win, whereupon they learn that the grand prize is... a crib for their future baby! Mifuyu ends up chasing the poor organiser around the market demanding a refund.
  • Akari's bond stories are quite hilarious due to her habit of saying things that can often be misinterpreted. In addition to this, during one of her bond stories, she brings Yuuki to a lady's cloth shop. Despite reassuring him that it will be ok as long as he is with her when Akari goes to try on some articles of clothing, two women spot Yuuki standing in the store and misinterpreting his actions, they shout for somebody to call Caon. By the time Akari returns, Yuuki is long gone.
  • During Yori's 7th bond story, the incredibly shy girl decides that she is finally going to thank Yuuki for all of the help that he has given her. Despite her resolve, each attempt ends in a miserable failure. Then, having spent most of the day failing to thank him, Yori starts to give Yuuki an honest heartfelt speech about just how grateful she really is and how much he means to her. Whilst the moment is definitely heartwarming, what makes it funny is that Yori has to stop herself short and ends up running away embarrassed when she realises that she was a split second away from giving Yuuki a love confession.
  • Tsumugi:
    • In her 1st bond story, the idol girl starts off friendly to Yuuki, who helps her with a job relating to her dress-making. However, when she learns that he is on friendly terms with her crush Rei, the super jealous Tsumugi's attitude does a complete one-eighty. Poor, confused Yuuki ends up tied up in threads and thrown out onto the street.
    • Immediately after in the 2nd episode, decides to punish Yuuki for earning Rei's affection. Knowing that he is on a mission, she heads out into the fields and digs a pit trap for him to fall into. When she sees him helping an old lady however, she changes her mind. Unfortunately for Tsumugi, she is so busy scolding herself that she doesn't pay attention to where she is going and ends up falling into her own trap. She is rescued shortly afterwards by both Yuuki and Rei.
  • In Djeeta's eight bond episode, Yuuki takes her to Tsubakigaoka Park, where he gets crepes from Akira's stand. When Djeeta tries it, she remarks it's "normal"—so bland that she has to repeatedly emphasize in her head about how lackluster it is.

    Event Stories
  • Ready, Set, Go! The Landosol Guild Race is the first event in history involving multiple guilds. During the 2nd episode in particular, the contestants must fulfill a task at each of two checkpoints. The first task: "Go to the checkpoint with your idea of a feast."
    • Christina and Akino get into a Cooking Duel with each other instead of racing (well, their personal cooks are the ones doing the cooking). By the end, they mutually respect each other's tastes.
    • Monika submits ration crackers. Her fellow guild members cheer for her pretending to like them.
    • Pecorine, being Pecorine, hunted a monster offscreen and cooks with it an entire feast for the audience. Karyl shouts at her like usual for this.
    • Shiori and Kyoka had passed the first task but return for Yuuki. The second task? "Take a trusted member of the opposite sex." The result is that every racer tries to grab Yuuki, get into arguments, Christina fights Pecorine, and certain audience members (likely of the male demographic) looks on with bitter tears. In the end, everyone takes Yuuki and finish the race as a group.
  • In Tanabata Swordsman's Travel Stories, Nanaka introduces her swimsuit to her guildmates only to see their disappointed looks (along with the music instantly dropping) since it's not that different how she usually wears in public. Nanaka is not happy to hear this at all. The Arc Villain of the event is a "cheating star" who's possessed Hikoboshi to use his body to flirt with women. In order to lure him out, the members of Twilight Caravan decide to pretend to be Yuuki's harem, hugging him and playing up his Chick Magnet tendencies more than usual, in order to trick the cheating star into leaving Hikoboshi for a more attractive vessel. Following on from this is the girl's reaction to the said acting. Ruka and Anna are both clearly embarrassed as they "flirt" with Yuuki. Nanaka on the other hand doesn't bat an eyelid and gets into the full swing of it.
  • The Angelic Foundation and the Saintly School Lycéennes once again graces everyone with audacious jokes galore:
    • During the Friendship Club's funding pitches to the Mercurius Foundation (Episodes 2 to 4). Every member starts off with giving a blatant bribe that they were all in on note  to the Mercurius girls, and bring along Yuuki to take advantage of his relationship with them—and none of them acted shy about it. The Mercurius girls are all very appalled.
    • The Friendbot X note  (Episodes 5 to 6):
      • The Friendship Club's shocked reactions at Akino's latest contraption, Friendbot X, a Transforming Mecha. Just look.
      • In the transition story scene once you complete the event's first instance, Akino wonders why the Friendbot is going out of control. Cue the other three mentally going Oh, Crap! at the same time because whatever they added (Tamaki's Taiyaki Cannon, Yukari's Barley Broth Splash, Mifuyu's cheap parts to save on money) might have been the cause.
      • The Friendbot also has Chieru's Chatterbox feature, which it uses to lambast everyone's flaws, including the poor head teacher who went unconscious after being called out on her strictness. It nearly gets the Friendship Club were it not for the members encouraging each other... though it also bears mentioning that every time Yuuki encourages a member and make her get all flustered and happy, the other two call her a pushover, conveniently forgetting that's how they acted just seconds ago.
  • In Debutante Shangri-La, Saren and Akino attend an event what they thought would be about business-oriented speeches. However, it seems to be a matchmaking event but the candidates there are less than stellar if the looks the two and the others girls give are any indication.
  • Re:member -The Future Spun by my Desires-:
    • Karyl attempts to wake up Yuuki from his coma with a kiss twice, with both attempts getting interrupted.
      • The first one was botched since Karyl realized that Kokkoro and Sheffy returned and were both watching her intently, naturally causing Karyl to be embarrassed. Kokkoro encourages Karyl to continue, softly mumbling that if Karyl fails maybe she could try it out herself. Sheffy on the other hand was so shocked and embarrassed that she regresses back into her child-like state.
      • The second time was with Little Lyrical visiting as Mimi forgot her sketch book from a prior visit. Kyouka ends up calling Karyl a suspicious creep as well. The poor girl tries to desperately explain that it's Not What It Looks Like but Kyouka still leaves with the notion that the Gourmet Guild has not one but two suspicious creeps, leaving Karyl exasperated.
    • During the first part of the event, Sheffy is forced to be a stand in for Pecorine who was also out of commission. Hilarity Ensues with Sheffy attempting to roleplay as Pecorine complete with attempting to emulate her Big Eater personality, declaring she would make a delicious meal out of the monster they were facing... a stone golem.
  • During the End Flame Elysion story raid event, Aoi and the Friendship Trio are up against Friendbot X. After some encouragement, Aoi disses Friendbot X with a rap. Friendbot X fires back with a diss track of its own, tearing down the poor girl as it smacks down every button, sending Aoi into a Heroic BSoD.
    • During the Friendbot X's diss track, you can see Aoi's expression change from relatively normal to outright panic before screaming once the diss track is finished.

    Luna Tower
  • In Gale Chronicles: Legend of the Vampire, during the real-world flashback, Anna and Illya are both after the same book, which they claim will help them unlock their powers. Since there is only one copy of the book available at the library, they essentially have what amounts to a chunibyo war. As part of their conflict, Illya and Anna summon their "minions", a flock of bats and a dog respectively, to help them. The animals behave as well as you would expect and in the end, they are both shouted at by a librarian and banned from visiting the library for a month. Whilst this is happening, Yuuki quietly checks out the book and sits down with the pair so that they can read it together.
  • In Big Bro Booking:
    • Ayame and Kurumi from Saren's Orphanage compete with the girls from Little Lyrical to see which group has the right to call Yuuki their big brother. After a number of competitions at the aforementioned tower, it looks as though the situation has been resolved peacefully, with the five girls deciding that Yuuki is a precious big brother to all of them. Moments later, Rino and Akari show up and happily refer to Yuuki as "onii-chan" as well. Hearing this makes the five girls jealous again.
    • Special mention goes to the real-world flashback, where Yuuki was first playing House with Ayame and Kurumi. He eventually leaves, having promised to play the same game with the three girls from Little Lyrical. Curious, Ayame and Kurumi follow him, and when they see what is happening, they treat Yuuki as if he is a cheating husband/father. They eventually settle on playing together, with Yuuki as the father, Pukichi as his wife and the five girls as their children.
    • And of course, throughout the whole event, Kyoka continuously refers to Yuuki as a suspicious guy.

Anime

    Season 1

Episode 1

  • Kokkoro walks up the hill to see her lord only to find him being mauled and dragged by Wolves while unconscious.
    • The second encounter is essentially a tutorial battle... except the Wolves smack Yuuki several times before dragging him off again.
    • The third time this happens is when Yuuki and Kokkoro were camping out for the night. Even the quiet background music starts to slow down as she spots her lord's form being dragged away by the Wolves.

Episode 3

  • Karyl gets upset that Pecorine has eaten all of the restaurant's food only to find out about the secret menu... Except the secret menu is for food using bugs as ingredients. Karyl takes that well as you expect.
    • Karyl's sanity takes an even bigger nosedive once she sees that Kokkoro and Yuuki are joining in the consumption alongside Pecorine.

Episode 5

Despite being one of the series' more serious and darker episodes, some of the scenes are still hilarious.
  • When Yuuki falls ill, Kokkoro and Pecorine are there to take care of him. True to her character, Pecorine has prepared some rice porridge. The only problem is ... she made it too hot for him to eat!
  • The following morning, having assured everyone that Yuuki will be fine after a good nights sleep, Karyl discovers that no, he hasn't improved. When she puts her hand on Yuuki's head to see for herself just how bad it is, she burns her hand.
  • Immediately afterwards, Karyl spots Kokkoro and Pecorine making medicine and food respectively. The key ingredient? Bugs!
  • Deciding that she cannot deal with them or any of their home remedies any longer, Karyl declares that she will take Yuuki to the hospital for proper treatment. The only thing is, she doesn't know where the hospital is and ends up getting lost along the way ...
  • Thus, Twilight Caravan are introduced and their antics are comedy gold.
    • Nanaka has a huge love for dramatics and theatrics. Which are made even funnier for fans of the game, who know that she is Yuuki's childhood friend.
    • Eriko makes every scene that she is in hilarious and she does it in the most Yandere way.
      • Her response to any would-be suitor that isn't Yuuki? Smash them to a pulp.
      • How to get her perfect match to fall for her? Be a creepy stalker and curse him into marriage. Yuuki, of all people, is completely creeped out by her.
      • Eriko spent the first half of her act searching the town for Yuuki. Where did she find him? The very building she walked out of, not that she seems to care.
  • After dropping Yuuki off at the hospital, there are several instances where the girls realize that they have made a huge mistake. Their expressions say it all. On one such occasion, when Yuuki is taken into the operating room Karyl and Pecorine look around to find Kokkoro burning an offering of bugs and lizards, imploring Ameth to protect Yuuki. Not wanting to get in trouble and thinking that she is overreacting, they restrain her and throw the offering out the window. After a brief prep talk, they manage to calm her down. Then they hear Yuuki scream! Cut to Kokkoro hastily trying to burn an another offer!
  • The following morning, Pecorine assures her comrades that Yuuki is probably already awaking, waiting for them to bring him breakfast. Cut to creepy red-eyed Eriko trying to feed her beloved, with the biggest grin on her face!

Episode 6

  • Karyl finally returns from her "visit" to the hospital. She greets them... before deciding to get some sleep. And the best part is that she's doing this all the while having a Broken Smile on her face.
  • Karyl's attempts to catch some fish for dinner to avoid having to eat anything strange. By the end of the day, all she catches are tadpoles. Cue her tossing her fishing rod into the fire with a dead look in her eyes.
  • Kokkoro reassures Karyl that they have plenty to eat while pointing to Yuuki who has his arms full of small frogs. Karyl does not take it well.
  • The Gourmet Edifice (sans Kokkoro) getting drunk off of some fermented fruit that Pecorine found. Karyl becomes a crying wreck, Pecorine starts drunkenly singing, and Yuuki starts clapping along while Kokkoro looks on in confusion.
  • The moment when the wolf monster gets discovered taking Yuuki away for its breakfast. The whole scene lasts about ten seconds and is more hilarious than it should be.
    • The scene starts with Kokkoro talking to Karyl. When she looks around to see how Yuuki is getting on, she stops talking and her O x O expression suddenly appears.
    • Cut to Yuuki already inside the jaws of the beast, with a deadpan look on his face that says "Is this really happening again?"
    • Cut to the wolf, who realizes it has been spotted.
    • One awkward moment later, the monster sprints off into the forest with Yuuki. Only then do the girl's react/panic.
    • Speaking of the said reactions, whilst Kokkoro's reaction is normal, Pecorine's cowlick stands up straight, whilst Karyl's face morphs into a mixture of what the hell and you have got to be kidding me!
  • Yuuki meets Aoi ... and "Don't Worry My Friend #1".
  • Following a misunderstanding, Aoi mistakes Yuuki for another lonely soul like her, she instantly forms a group with him, without his input. As she enthusiastically celebrates the birth of Team B-B ("as in bye-bye to your loneliness"), the rest of the Gourmet Guild shows up. Aoi's reaction, is priceless.
  • As Karyl voices her doubt that there would be anything interesting in a small village, she spots Hatsune napping in the sky.

Episode 8

  • Little Lyrical's Bad "Bad Acting". Karyl's the only one that sees through the ruse and is about to leave only for the little girls to take their acting right in front of her.
  • After learning what Little Lyrical's intentions are, everyone sans Yuuki can't help but feel awful about themselves considering that the kids' goals are more noble compared to theirs which are less altruistic. Funny part is that Pecorine continues to eat and Kokkoro's tea is overflowing.
  • Little Lyrical attempting to "fight" a spider web.
  • Pecorine disguises herself as a monster to drive Yuuki and Little Lyrical away from danger only to find out the hard way that the little guild members are not as harmless as one expects. She suffers a surprising but cute beatdown with Misogi spraying Pecorine right in the eyes before getting pushed over a cliff.
Karyl: How could you get beaten up by little kids.

Episode 9

  • Yukari getting drunk and complaining about all the couples on the beach, asking for someone to "take her home". Tamaki gets the unfortunate duty of trying to sober her up since she still has to work.
Yukari: Oh, gosh! Tamaki's takin' me home!
Tamaki: No, I'm not! Don't say stuff that'll give people the wrong idea!
    • Tamaki tries to chuck Yukari into the ocean in order to sober her up. Unfortunately, she tossed her into where the local Kraken lives, who proceeds to try to drag Yukari away, all while the still drunk Yukari smiles and cheers at being "taken home".
  • How do you get some noodle-like guts from a sea cucumber? Press it's body repeatedly until it spews out the white guts. Even Kokkoro's shocked upon knowing it.

Episode 10

  • Miyako's attempts to force everyone to make pudding for her drives most of this episode's humor:
    • Miyako's first appearance (aside from the short scene before the OP), is her haunting the owner of the restaurant the Gourmet Edifice frequents into making her pudding. It turns out it's because he attempted to make the pudding with his signature bugs. The owner is left mumbling about how temperature is key to making pudding.
    • Later, after Yuuki and Kokkoro try to leave after dealing with Diabolos, Miyako points out that Yuuki dropped all the pudding he was carrying for her and forces him to replace the pudding. They try to bring her back to their guild house so that Pecorine can make it, much to a freaked-out Karyl's displeasure.
    • Unfortunately, Pecorine is still out shopping, so the rest of the Gourmet Edifice is forced to make the pudding, under threat of being turned into pudding themselves. Yuuki's attempt is a purple unappetizing mess that makes him vomit rainbows when he tries it, and Karyl continues to be freaked out by Miyako's threats.
    • When Pecorine finally returns, it turns out that Miyako really did make good on her threats and turned everyone into pudding. Pecorine agrees to make "the best pudding she's tasted" in exchange for turning everyone back to normal. Pecorine successfully does so, and Miyako, declaring that she's tasted the perfect pudding, starts ascending to heaven. However, Pecorine's comments about how temperature is key to making pudding end up being Five-Second Foreshadowing to the fact that she used the restaurant owner's bug recipe to make the pudding. Upon learning this, Miyako starts vomiting rainbows and crashes back down to earth. This is hilarious when you remember that Miyako's voice actress, voiced another spiritual being who was also known to vomit rainbows.
    • As Shinobu is carrying Miyako home, the Gourmet Edifice suddenly realizes that Yuuki is missing. As they start searching the house for him, the camera zooms in on some pudding on Miyako's cheek, revealing that she ate him. The episode's closing card shows Yuuki back to normal (albeit covered in the pudding) as Shinobu and Pecorine force Miyako to vomit everything out.
  • Illya manages to play up her Evil Overlord image when she meets Yuuki and Kokkoro. As soon as she steps out of her crystal container, however, she reverts to her Sleep-Mode Size, much to her embarrassment.
    • To make matters worse for Illya, in this form, her own bat minions can sense that they are stronger than her and attack. Seeing Illya's distress, Yuuki tries to help her, thus making the so-called Legendary Vampire the first girl in the anime to be carried bridal style.
    • When Yuuki's mysterious power suddenly activates, it causes Illya to get her power and adult form back temporarily. Yuuki stumbles and Illya proceeds to remind her minions who the boss is. The rest of Diablos celebrates thinking that Illya can finally grant their wishes. A moment later, however ... POOF Illya is back in her chibi form again.

Episode 11

  • Karyl is trying to sleep in, but Pecorine wants her to come down before her breakfast gets cold. Ignoring her only leads Pecorine to assume that something bad happened to Karyl, which leads to her leaping in through the window.
  • This episode introduces Shizuru and Rino, and their hilarious antics:
    • Shizuru saves Yuuki from being devoured by a Shadow, and then immediately goes into "doting big sister" mode, high-speed fawning over Yuuki and forgetting about his amnesia, while Yuuki can only stand there confused by this newcomer. Before he can get any answers, however, Rino shows up and reprimands her for disobeying orders to refrain from contact with Yuuki before shoving her away.
    • The next scene, the dynamic is reversed, with Rino upset that she never got a chance to talk with her "big brother" and attempting to head off to do so, and Shizuru calming her down with a headbutt. A headbutt that produces shockwaves and leaves Rino with short-term memory loss.
    • Kokkoro and Yuuki are enjoying hot dogs, with Yuuki getting stains all over himself, and Kokkoro wiping off the stains. Deciding to soak her handkerchief in the nearby fountain to make it easier to clean, she's stopped by an Arrowgram with the words "You're too close" written in big scary letters. She looks behind her and finds Rino, standing behind a tree glaring at her surrounded by a dark aura. Her response to this is to walk in the other direction.
    • Peeved at this, Rino starts directly questioning the girl who's suddenly gotten close to her "big brother". Once again, Shizuru calms her down with another headbutt.
  • While Kokkoro, Shizuru and Rino are distracted talking with each other, Yuuki suddenly disappears, and all that's left is his dropped hot dog, which is a bad sign given that there are Shadows prowling throughout town. When Yuuki turns up more or less okay later, he explains that what happened was that he saw Eriko, which led him to drop everything and run before she noticed him.
    • It turns into heartwarming afterward when it turns out that afterward, he found a quest where the reward was some rare thread they could use to repair Karyl's plushie and he did it all by himself. Though he does note that he was almost eaten.
  • While searching for Yuuki, Kokkoro and Pecorine come across two men talking about another man who got accosted by bandits. Thinking it's Yuuki, the girls decide to storm the bandits' hideout...only for it to be one of Those Two Guys (the skinny guy Charlie to be specific), who ended up there because he tried making a pass on the boss's woman.
    • The boss shows up to see what the ruckus is...and it's the Fat Bastard from the third episode...and he remembers what Pecorine did to him that episode and just sends everyone on their way without a fuss.

Episode 12

  • Karyl acting as monster bait and running for her life while screaming bloody murder at Pecorine.
  • Pecorine and the Gourmet Edifice decide to visit Akira's crepe stand. After some initial shock from Rino and Shizuru for being found, Shizuru quickly offers to serve the group on the house. Let's repeat that: they offered Pecorine free all-you-can-eat crepes. Cut to the two "sisters" frantically trying to make enough crepes to keep up with Pecorine. The two of them are exhausted by the time she's satiated.

    Season 2

Episode 14

  • The aftermath of Pecorine and Yuuki killing a monster and using it to make clothes and food:
    • Kyaru prepares to fight a horde of monsters only to realize the scarf she's wearing is made from the skin of one of them. Kyaru understandably scolds Pecorine who just sheepishly smiles while eating.
    • Then comes the part where everyone pukes rainbow vomit and become paralyzed because the meat they ate is poisonous.
Kyaru: I don't want to die in such a stupid way!
    • Bonus hilarity? Crunchyroll made a clip of this moment literally titled "The Gang Die in the Stupidest Way".

Episode 16

  • Yuuki meets Aoi again and whilst he quickly warms up, at first he's genuinely annoyed with her. Let me repeat: Yuuki. Is. Annoyed. At. Someone.
    • When Yuuki sees Aoi's wood sculpture, he just gives a look that says "Oh boy. Not this again." This causes Aoi to scream and jump out of her hiding spot.
  • Kyaru getting the Neck Snap by Aoi is bloody hilarious.

Episode 17

  • The members of Caon (save for Kaori) reacting to how Gourmet Edifice shows their thanks for their rescue by preparing a meal using the monster that threatened them as the main ingredient and bugs as seasoning.
Kyaru: Don't get the wrong idea. They're not trying to be mean. That's genuinely how those three express their gratitude. I know it's not what you want, but... Just give up.

Episode 19

Weiß Flügel Landsol Branch make their debut. Hilarity ensues.
  • They are first introduced by repairing a bridge. If you think that they are doing it to be helpful, you'd be wrong. It turns out that Ninon (who is obsessed with fireworks) destroyed it after the group successfully defeated a monster that was terrorizing the area. This not only cost them their reward money, but they were also ordered to repair the bridge as compensation, almost went to prison, and ended up hopelessly in debt. Monika is the only one upset by this.
    • Related to the above, in the flashback Monika is shown rescuing Yuki and Kuuka, who were apparently eaten by the monster. Neither of them seems too distressed about what just happened to them, especially not Kuuka.
  • Monika Weisswind is the main focus of the group. She wants to help the town in whatever way she can. Unfortunately, she not only has the misfortune of looking younger than her years but is the only sane character in her entire group. Her get-rich-quick schemes do not work out and by the end of the episode, she is more frustrated than ever. That being said, she did have fun with Yuuki and co.
  • Kuuka however, steals every scene that she is in.
    • The absolute highlight comes from her brief encounter with Yuuki. Whilst wandering through the town, two restaurant staff notify him that one of their staff members has been acting weirdly ever since she took a potion provided by Twilight Caravan. When Yuuki discovers Kuuka reading some erotic doujin that was left on the ground, he assumes (correctly) that they were talking about her and proceeds to burn the books, much to Kuuka's dismay.
      • During the said incident, whilst Yuuki is trying to burn/rip the said books, Kuuka pleads with him not to do it. Desperate to stop him, she confesses that reading these books is her guilty pleasure, admitting that she slips out of work at the restaurant to do so. The look Yuuki gives her, coupled with Kuuka's massive oh crap expression says it all.
      • Even funnier, it turns out that Kuuka soon got over her despair. She later admits to Monika that the pleasure caused by what happened made her pass out. If her words, expression, and the hearts in her eyes are anything to go by, then Kuuka has now fallen madly in love with Yuuki as a result of the aforementioned incident.
      • Thus, Yuuki ends the episode with not only another girl interested in him, but a new nickname as well, Mr. Sadist!
  • Altogether, the guild and the episode as a whole is a soft parody of another popular isekai franchise, featuring a bunch of loser protagonists.

Episode 21

  • Misaki's attempt to distract the robbers that robbed a post office with her "grown-up charm", which basically involves her doing a pole dance with her staff. For reference, Misaki is eleven years old. Cue the robbers thinking that she's messed up in the head and capturing her (followed by Kokkoro sporting her "OxO" face). Made even funnier when you know that Misaki Kuno is using the same voices she uses for Klee when voicing Misaki.
  • The ending sequence of the episode involves members from all the guilds the Gourmet Guild have befriended arriving to help harvest rice Whilst this is more heartwarming than funny when you look at the scene closely, there are a couple of things that stand out.
    • Firstly, there are two groups missing from the lineup. One is Labyrinth, who has an agreement to keep their distance from Yuuki. The other is Twilight Caravan, who traumatized the main characters in their meeting and understandably were not invited.
    • The second thing that makes it funny is that one of the guests invited is Miyako!!! As in the ghost girl of Diabolos who previously turned Kokkoro, Karyl, and Yuuki into pudding and even downright ate and regurgitated Yuuki!
    • Blink and you'll miss it, but whilst the various guilds are harvesting the rice, guess which member of Sarendia is having trouble with even this most basic task ... again!

Episode 25

  • Let's admit it, the final sound we heard at the end of the series is not the Gourmet Edifice preparing to eat Karyl's burnt fish, but rather, Yuuki vomiting from eating the said fish. Word of advice: Never let Karyl cook!
