Promotional material

  • This comedic French ad for the film has a man praising the movie to a coworker, describing it as the story of "hundreds of emperors" marching through Antarctica, sometimes sliding on their belly to go faster, getting attacked by a seal once, and swapping eggs after mating during several hours. The baffled coworker imagines scenes where the "emperors" aren't emperor penguins but a crowd of Napoleons.

Film

  • Early in the film, there is a scene of the penguins sliding across the ice on their bellies. This is followed by a scene of a penguin standing while Morgan Freeman says, "Theirs is usually a graceful parade. (Beat) But not always." Then, in a nice bit of continuity, a sliding penguin's beak hits the standing penguin in the butt and they argue, just like people in the event of a rear-end collision.
