Funny / Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms

Go To

It's not living if there's no laughter in it.

  • Maquia's look when Mido found her hiding in their farm futilely poking at a cow's breast because she has zero clues about how to milk animals.
  • Dita bullying Ariel, making fun of the fact that he loves his mother to the point that he starts crying, which causes Dita to starts crying herself. Then Lang asks if she fell in love or something. Cue headbutt.
  • Not long after that, when Maquia shares her grievance with young Lang at a wooden bridge. He tells her "Moms don't cry" despite making himself quite a waterwork.
  • The wooden Renato marches late in the movie, to the disappointment of Ariel and his friends about their job not being as glorious as it used to be.
  • Ariel dramatically declares that he's becoming a father. At this point we don't yet know that he's actually got a wife with a kid on the way, and he says this at the end of a conversation about how childish Maquia is, making it sound like he's saying that he'll be the father of his own mother.
