• When Shi San insists on staying with Ling Xi, Ling Xi claims she snores to make Shi San leave. Shi San doesn't leave. Turns out she's the one who snores, and Ling Xi can't get any sleep because of it. She tries to silence Shi San with a spell. Shi San's trident comes to life and attacks her when she casts the spell. Then the trident proves too heavy for Ling Xi to lift. It ends with her falling on top of Shi San, then leaving in disgust.
• Jiu Chen isn't happy to learn there are rumours about Ling Xi spending the night in his room.
  Jiu Chen: As a woman, how could you care so little about your reputation?
  Ling Xi: My father always said as long as I'm free of guilt, I shouldn't care about what other people say. Anyway, I don't think being stuck in a rumour with a Great God is that bad.
• Yun Feng pretends he needs medical attention so he can visit Qing Yao. When he finds her he and Ling Xi see her break a man's legs to reset them. He freaks out when she turns and asks if he's seeking treatment.
  Yun Feng: I suddenly remembered I have important business to attend to. I feel lighter and much better already!
• Ling Xi rescues a dog and brings it back to Jiu Chen's palace. It runs all over the place, disturbing Jiu Chen and, ahem, making a mess of his boots. Cut to Ling Xi apologising, while the dog lies beside her as if it's bowing too.
• Le Bo is confused when Ling Xi calls him Jiu Chen's old friend.
  Le Bo: Who's an old friend? I've only met him a few times tens of thousands of years ago. According to you, then me and the old stinky Celestial Thunder Immortal ^note meaning Tian Lei Zhen Jun would count as sworn brothers!
• Ling Xi claims her fate is intertwined with Jiu Chen's. Le Bo isn't happy.
  Le Bo: [facepalms] You're a young woman, but you don't even feel bashful after saying this! Intertwined fate? I think you have an intertwined fate with washing and folding clothes!
• When Ling Xi tries to make medicine she causes explosions in Fu Yun Palace, interrupting Jiu Chen's meditation and scaring Little White. Jiu Chen's reactions are priceless.
• Ling Xi says she thinks she sees Jiu Chen everywhere, even reflected in the water. Then she looks up and realises he's standing beside the water.
• Jiu Chen being weirded out when he meets the newly genderswapped Shi San.
  "Sir, many women wear rouge and flower decorations!"
  "Many women didn't used to have a beard and carry a forty-pound spear!"
• Jiu Chen and Jingxiu's antics while rivals for Lin Mo. They get really petty.
• Jiu Chen deliberately invoking a Gray Rain of Depression to make Lin Mo feel sorry for him.
