Book 1: Kill Six Billion Demons
  • The ridiculous pileup of murderous enemy factions at Hell 71, from mercenaries to candle-drippers, all before the first group can even finish their introductions.
  • YISUN's first tenet is rather comical since it's so Sophisticated as Hell.
Let there be no genesis, for beginnings are false and I am a Consummate Liar

    Book 2: Wielder of Names
  • Allison has decided, perhaps foolishly, to challenge an Ebon Devil (the strongest of Devil colors) to some kind of contest to bring her to Mottom's palace. Only after does she realize that it is…
    Allison: A drinking contest?!!
  • The tense scene of White Chain, in her true fathered form, fleeing from the Thorn Knights and her confrontation with Juggernaut Star is interrupted by the arrival of 2 Michael. The effect of said dramatic arrival is somewhat deflated by his true form in the void resembling a stories-tall pigeon with his head on it.
    Alt-Text: Final bird battle.
  • After Mottom tells Allison how dangerous the Key is and how Mottom could kill her but won't and demonstrates how her immortality works, she drags Allison to a ball.
    Mottom: DRESS!
[half a dozen devil dressmakers start fitting Allison]
Alt-Text: This is something Mottom yells multiple times a day.
  • Mottom tries to use her PERISH trick on Cio... only for Cio to slap a piece of paper over her mouth. The annoyed look on Mottom's face says it all.

    Book 3: Seeker of Thrones
  • When trying to tempt Allison into accepting one of his Keys, Incubus appears in her mind as Jareth the Goblin King while dressing Allison up as an elven version of Xena: Warrior Princess. He later switches to Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon (with Allison as Usagi).
    Allison: What. The. Fuck.
Incubus: Hey, hey, this is your mind! It's your weird mental imagery, not mine!
  • Allison gives an awesome Badass Boast telling Cio that she will help plunder an impregnable infinite vault... and then faints from blood loss.
Nyave: I told her she was losing too much blood!
Cio: I keep forgetting you humans need that.
  • What happens if you have a room with a thousand mimics, but they all look like chairs?
  • Allison, believing she's fallen prey to Demonic Possession, loudly calls out Incubus and demands her body back. Incubus appears in her mind, looking like a 90ies businessman with a fancy suit and desk complaining that he's in the middle of running his empire and can't be there talking to her all the time. The conversation is then interrupted by Incubus' Sexy Secretary reminding him he has a meeting. The secretary is also played by Incubus.
  • White Chain interrupts Cio and Allison's discussion of their relationship because she assumes they're getting to know each other with friendly small talk, and she wants to join in.
White Chain: Very well, I will start. My original form was a divine shard, an emanation of the god Un, forged into shape by the chisel of Koss. Now wh—
Cio: Heeeey Allison! Why don't you tell us about thy homeworld?
  • The sheer Comedic Sociopathy of Oscar as he keeps casually (and shortsightedly) killing members of the team to bypass different traps.

    Book 4: King of Swords
  • Gog-Agog comes to visit Allison and makes her entrance by exploding out of the body of one of her minions. Allison's response? Punch her face out the back of her head. As usual, this is a mild inconvenience for Gog-Agog.
  • Gog-Agog's Plan A to deal with Allison is a fairly direct approach.
Gog-Agog: eat this worm! if you eat it, you'll become me! and being me is reaaaally fun!
    Allison: Fuck no.
Gog-Agog: aww, darn, really? ...i thought it would work.
  • It's a dramatic and tense scene as Allison and White Chain prepare to square off, Solomon David is about to start the bout...and Princess is sitting in the stands in a tank top that just says TOP.
  • Your pal Gog-Agog hosts the tournament, along with your other pals, Gog-Agog, Gog-Agog, and also Gog-Agog, all commentating by turns too cheerily and deadpan snark-ily.
Gog-Agog, remarking on Allison's first bout: ooh! she...almost dodged that one...
Also Gog-Agog, unimpressed: that's right, gog-agog, she definitely almost avoided that super-obvious attack
    • And why is Gog-Agog hosting? Because when Solomon David held the tournament without inviting her, she ate a third of the contestants because she, quote, "felt left out". Her MCing the tournament is a compromise.
  • Solomon David deals with match-fixing by cribbing from the notes of the entire videogame industry circa 2017-2018.
    Solomon David: Battle royale.
  • Nyave and Princess make an attempt at infiltrating the cell block of the arena. With a plan concocted by Allison. Double points for Princess attempting a charming smile and only succeeding at creeping the guard out enough to make him play along with the plan.
  • Solomon (being pretty misogynistic) insists on Allison and Cio wearing dresses when they watch a match. Allison manages to look like a stern Lady of War, but Cio just looks 100% done.
  • Allison and pals attempt to rescue White Chain after her duel with Solomon only to be immediately overwhelmed by his royal guards in the span of two small panels.
  • The others overhear Allison and Zaid speaking English. Cio—who is a devil with the gift of tongues—dismisses it as a stupid language that she didn't bother learning.
  • Allison gives Zaid a massive hug, bodily lifting him off the ground. Last Zaid saw her, she was a skinny sorority girl without an ounce of muscle.
Zaid: ...you've, uh, changed a lot.
  • Princess is a Red Devil, an enormously strong ogre reminiscent of an Oni. Angels and Devils are enemies on a fundamental cosmic level. Princess thought Vigilant Gaze was so awesome in his fight that she tells him she's a huge fan and wants to learn from him.

    Book 5: Breaker of Infinities
  • In the middle of the otherwise tense Discordance of the Demiurges, Mottom declares that she will cast a spell to knock out Jagganoth, only for her to be interrupted by Mammon knocking her aside while rushing past.
  • Surprisingly, Princess is the one to grab Zaid when they leave Rayuba, holding him very close. He is quite clearly somewhat uncomfortable.
  • The creation of The Fool: Aspected Chaos is equal parts awesome and heartwarming. And then you mouse over the alt-text:
Man Catastrophically Owns Himself by Replacing Complicated Character Design with Even More Complicated Character Design
  • Gog-Agog's contribution to the final battle.
Gog-Agog: boy. sure looks tough, huh?
Solomon: [gives her an utterly disgusted side-eye]
  • It's the Darkest Hour, Jagganoth has killed Mammon and probably most of the other demiurges (as well as everyone on Rayuba), Cio and Allison are severely wounded, missing their right eyes and arms, and Incubus just crawled out of the sea with all his skin stripped off. What does he say?

    Book 6: Wheel Smashing Lord
  • The Alt Text for pages 31-32.
royalty is stored in the drip
  • Allison goes to talk to Gog-Agog, currently performing for a crowd of her worshippers/other selves while dressed as Marilyn Monroe. Gog-Agog welcomes her cheerfully, having expected her... and is immediately grossed out by her missing eye.
    • Gog-Agog later decides to switch the topic of the conversation... By literally switching out the topic of the conversation (herself as Marylin Monroe) with another topic (herself as Eric Andre) in order to interview Allison. Gog-Agog, naturally, refuses to take this interruption of her dramatic exposition lying down and has to be literally pulled off-stage by the stage crew (who are, of course, all also Gog-Agog). She later attempts to storm back on set only for Gog-Agog to shoot her dead with a gun.
Allison: **as Gog-Agog's corpse is being pulled off-stage again** You have a strong sense of... Whimsy.
Gog-Agog: When you're a billion-year old clown you need a sense of whimsy.
  • Solomon David attempts to put a neat end to his story arc by being killed by a passing monster while insisting that I Will Only Slow You Down. 82 White Chain refuses to let him and insists on coming to his rescue, which leaves Solomon to first insult her by calling her weak and irresolute, and when that fails, negs her by telling her her footwork is sloppy.
