  • The Public Enemy help Mikey Whipwreck to train to take on The Sandman. (in the middle of the night...in a park...with some especially dodgey cinematography). Their routine for him? Have him run up a ladder, drink a beer, run back down, rinse and repeat. Public Enemy goad him on...except Mikey Can't Hold His Liquor. Oh, dear...
  • Joel Gertner's introductions, which always manage Crosses the Line Twice.
    • Even after Joel's neck healed from a Kayfabe injury, he continued to wear the soft neck brace...and would have a bow tie wrapped around it.
  • The Public Enemy had the line "You've got Ric Flair flopping around the ring like he's having an epileptic seizure." complete with pantomimed Flair-flops... it was much funnier then it sounds.
  • Joey Styles had some pretty funny one-liner reactions to what was going on in the ring. One of the things he would occasionally say (aside from replacing his trademark "OH MY GOD!!!" with "AY DIOS MIO!!!") happened whenever a luchador jumped from the ring so far he landed in one of the first few rows: "And it's Take-Home-A-Luchador night here in the ECW Arena!"
    • (as the crowd breaks out into a chant of "Holy shit!") "My mother's gonna hate me for sayin' this, but...HOLY SHIT!"
      • The poor production values alone added fuel to the fire. Since typical ECW shows didn't have the big screen displays common in WCW and WWF/E, and since a match that starts in the ring isn't guaranteed to stay in the ring, parts of the crowd can end up left in the dark. One match involved two wrestlers brawling out behind the bleachers in one half of the building while fans in the other half chanted, "I CAN'T SEE SHIT! I CAN'T SEE SHIT!"
  • "STOP THE CHAIRS! STOP THE CHAIRS! Do not throw chairs into the ring!"
  • Stevie Richards of the walking talking CMOF the Blue World Order tries to cut a promo...but the flesh-colored yarmulke he was wearing to imitate Hollywood Hogan's bald spot kept falling out of place.
  • During his short (but remarkable) time in ECW after being in WCW, Steve Austin got liberties to develop his wrestling persona (the basis to be "Stone Cold" born here), and he made notable Copycat Mockery of both faces of WCW, Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan as part of his promos.
  • Francine has an interesting anecdote about the time she was propositioned by Balls Mahoney.
  • During a promo for House Party ‘99, Paul Heyman in his voiceover listed how many things happened at the first House Party three years prior, and each repetition of “three years” was more excited than the previous. After it was all done, Joey Styles looks at the camera and asks, “How many years was that again?” A clipboard immediately flies in from off-camera, hits Joey in the head, and Heyman yells out, “THREE YEARS, SMARTASS!!”
