  • After the events of the Secret Wars (2015), Doctor Doom encountered Tony Stark in the ruins of Doom's once lavish palace. To prove his identity to him, he recounted to him the time that they had been sent back in time to the days of King Arthur to have a rousing adventure together. Doom told Stark that he always looked back on that time fondly. Stark did not share his zeal for that moment, still upset that Doom attempted to kill him and strand him there. Doom then reiterated to him that he remembered it fondly, but never said that Stark did.
  • A while ago, Doom was aboard a ship with Spider-Man, who made a reference to Star Trek: The Original Series, albeit an erroneous one, as he said "Warp factor 9, Mr. Spock." Doom corrected him by reminding him that it was Sulu, not Spock, who set the speed of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the series. Spider-Man mocked Doom for being such a "nerd."
  • Captain America (undercover as an ordinary security guard) once asked how Doom is capable of "speaking in all capitals." Doom just avoided the question with a "Silence, minion".
  • During Secret Wars (1984), as Doom makes his way through Galactus's world-ship, he narrates every bit of his journey aloud. When Klaw asks him if he's taping himself, Doom replies that, as a matter of fact, he is. "Every utterance of Doom must be recorded for posterity!"
  • In Loki: Agent of Asgard Issue #7, Doom plays a remix version of All You Need Is Love by the Beatles with it saying All You Need Is Doom. That's right. Doom remixed a popular song with his own title just to suit his ego. Evil Is Petty indeed.
