Before making horror videos, Nyctomatter
was known for OMORI shitpost videos. While most of the Deltarune VHS videos usually lean into the horror factor, there's also lighthearted and comedic videos in the series as well.- Despite seeing crazy things in the series, Kris often keeps an overly serious face.
- While it's still a creepy video, the fact that somebody thought of making horror content on the "Kris, get the banana." gag is so ridiculous you can not think of not laughing at least once.
- If "SPAMTON NEO" is a scary video, Susie's confused face has something funny to it, like it was supposed to represent newcomers' reaction to the series.
- "TOBY FOX" averts the nightmare fuel, simply going for a recreation of the Annoying Dog running over Kris with his toy car in the VHS format.
- In "JEVIL", despite the Nightmare Face the titular character makes, his face then changes to a Troll Face (which can be seen on the page image) before cutting to a gif of Jevil Default Dancing with the text "you got trolled in 480p sd camcorder".
- "What happened to Kris" starts where the original ended (Kris trying to exit the video to come for you), but Susie punches Kris in the face and tells them to "stop breaking the fourth wall".
- "STARWALKER" seems like a creepy video... until you realize what the Original Starwalker is actually saying.
- The derp face he makes while saying the last word, followed by "HEY EVERY !" playing is the cherry on the cake.
- "GARBAGE NOISE" involves Kris using their phone only to get Rick Rolled instead, before stating that getting Rick Rolled was the reason why they did the Weird Route.
- "NUBERT" starts with Kris talking to Nubert, saying that he sucks, Nubert then responds with a long foul-mouthed rant which leaves Kris on the floor with a broken expression.
- While "RALSEI" has a nightmarish sequence where the fluffy boy reveals empty scleras, Susie saying "ok" while being too scared to move completely changes the tone of the video.
- "GASTER" starts with a shot of the mysterious door at the south of Hometown, but from the inside. A creature who seems to be Gaster decides to open the door to see the outside world... only to cut to a series of Sans fangirl videos. What makes it funnier is the flames background, "mus_smile" and Gaster's distorting picture.
- While "ROUXLES" is Nightmare Fuel for the most part, a string of binary code appears underneath Rouxls at one point. Converting it into text reveals the message "GOD DAMNIT".
- "LANCER" takes the surreality switch and flips it from Horror to Humor. Despite the creepy thumbnail, it's actually an animated slideshow of Lancer's Top 5 People. Lancer is first and second, the most low-quality picture of Susie possible is third, Lancer is fourth and Gi-Hun is fifth although he only appears for a few frames before the video cuts off. The transition between each part of the list has a picture of Noelle lying dead in the starting area of Undertale, the video makes frequent use of clickbait arrows and the background music is "Super Idol". Overall, it looks like something Lancer would make.
- "Kris browses Deltarune fanart" starts with Kris going on the computer on a funny music to browse pictures... then the screen gets dark and explains that "they went too deep". Cue to Kris lying on the floor, drowning in their own blood.
- "POPPUP" has the titular Mook activating a pop-up and when Kris closes it, a poorly-drawn Bedsheet Ghost comes from behind saying "Bruh", making a traumatized Kris run for their life.
