  • The very last movie after the single-player campaign is over, in which Kennedy is negotiating an end to current hostilities, with Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara and Fidel Castro in attendance. You get that something's weird when Nixon gets all paranoid for some noises, then the team find themselves attacked... by zombies. Cue Kennedy revealing a Wall of Weapons, the presidents arming themselves, and proceeding to (presumably) kick zombie ass.
[Zombies break down the doors, flooding in The Pentagon]
Kennedy: [matter-of-factly] Zombies. Gentlemen, at times like these our capacity to retaliate must be and has to be massive, to deter all forms of aggression. Gentlemen [reveals the Wall of Weapons], lock and load!
    • The action shot has Nixon Dual Wielding assault rifles, desperately trying to look badass like the others.
    • Plenty of the characters' dialogue and one-liners can be hilarious:
Kennedy: I see an America unafraid of beauty and grace, but you beasts aren't helping!
Kennedy: Stick that in your Warren Commission, dick!
  • This exchange at the very beginning of the game:
    Interrogator: What's your name?
    Mason: Fuck. You!
    Interrogator: When were you born?
    Mason: Kiss my ass!
    [Mason gets zapped]
    • Gets a Call-Back in Cold War Zombies, only this time with Sam and The Director in Mason's and the Interrogator's respective positions. The exchange is almost a word-for-word recreation of the above.
  • A bit of dark humor during the torture scene:
Weaver: We can do this all day! We got plenty of windows!
    • Also gets turned into an Ascended Meme of sorts in Cold War Zombies as Weaver himself will say the following whenever he gets a new weapon.
Weaver: We've got PLENTY of weapons!
  • During Mason's meeting with President Kennedy, after Kennedy shows Mason a picture of Dragovich, he has a short vision of drawing his pistol and aiming it at Kennedy. Combines Funny and Nightmare Fuel.
  • After Woods kills Castro’s double, just as he complains about him using his Mistress as a human shield, he nonchalantly sprays at the double door next to him without stopping his rant. Before you can question why he did that, the double doors open and 2 enemies fall out dead.
  • When Reznov and company escape the boat while the British are attacking the Russians, we have this little conversation.
Reznov: This is not our war!
Nevski: Then who do we fight?
    Reznov: EVERYONE!!! We stand alone!
  • Hudson dramatically putting on his glasses at the end of "Revelations" gives a few chuckles to lighten up a rather dark moment.
    • Speaking of Hudson, his reactions to Woods and Bowman in SOG. Woods barely acknowledges him, to which he turns towards Mason and raises an eyebrow. After the mission, as he's trying to tell Woods and the newly-arrived Bowman about a possible defector, they walk off without listening; Hudson just trails off and shakes his head. Before that, as Bowman greets Mason happily and shakes his hand, he completely ignores Hudson’s greeting to shake hands with Woods.
Hudson: Jason Hudson, CIA. Thank you for your time, sergeant.
Woods: (looks at Mason, then at Hudson, then back at Mason with a look that says something between "Is this guy talking to me?" and "Where did you find this guy?") ..Right.
  • Post-The Reveal, there's some dark humor to be found in Steiner's death. While obviously a very dramatic moment from the perspectives of Mason (who sees Reznov exact his long-awaited revenge) and Hudson (who sees a horrifying scene of Mason having a mental breakdown and murdering their best chance at stopping Nova), for Steiner, Mason suddenly declares himself to be a vengeful Reznov and is promptly killed with zero idea what he's talking about.
  • JFK's voice actor in Zombies. Compared to his much more historically-accurate Campaign voice actor, this one intentionally exaggerates the Bahstahn accent. He ends up sounding like Mayor Quimby.
  • The Nintendo DS version of the game has a quite humorous beginning to its second level, "Breaking Free". The first words you'll hear is a threatening speech from a Cuban interrogator that is borderline Narm:
"If you will not give us the information, then you will have no life. Your people deny that you´re not even here, so no one will know when you're dead. So what will it be, American? Would you speak like the dog you are? Or would you like a bullet instead?"
    • After your player character then responds by tearing himself free from his restraints to knock out the interrogator, he then overhears this conversation between a prisoner and a guard shortly after stepping out of his cell:
Prisoner: Hey, give me some food, don’t you have food here? Is that why you hate freedom so much, you PIGS?!
    Guard: SILENCIO!
  • In the Khe Sanh level:
Mason: Woods, you look like hammered shit.
Woods: Looks don't count for shit in the jungle, this is 'Nam, baby!
    • By the end:
Bowman: You look like hammered shit, Mason.
Mason: (laughs)'Nam will do that to ya.
  • In a meta example, the Cuban government was quite offended by the in-game depiction of Mason killing a body double of Castro (even though he fails to kill the real Castro), going so far as to claim that the game encourages "sociopathic" behavior in American children.
