Funny / Blue Reflection: Second Light

Go To

  • Every scene where the girls have to show everyone else their most-embarrassing memories in order to generate enough energy to summon Kirara: Ao's goth phase, Kokoro eating all of of the cakes she made for her class, Shiho's attempted makeup repair job, Hinako singing nursery rhymes at karaoke, and Rena being outed as a Closet Geek.
    • Ao vowing revenge and making sure to uncover everyone else's embarrassing secrets after revealing hers.
    • Despite the memories themselves being huge embarrassments for the girls, Ao ends up finding nearly all of them to be pretty cute.
    • Finally, Rena decides to fearlessly approach hers when her turn arrives, only to be the only one to actually try and run away after realizing just which memory it is. This becomes something of a Brick Joke as after her climactic heroic moment where she finally decides she's no longer going to run away from her feelings and will save Yuki in the name of love, she proposes a booth for the school to sell her original manga.
  • While exploring the Hirahara Sisters' Heartscape, Ao manages to knock over a railing simply by touching it in a small scene without any dialogue and her body language perfectly conveys her Oh, Crap! expression towards her "Eureka!" Moment when she realizes she can use it as a ladder and create a shortcut.
  • The Resonance Tides combo attacks. Utterly off-the-wall moves such as attacking with bales of rice, a pot of soup, a pack of wild dogs out of nowhere and a giant record player. Ao looks like she has no idea why this is happening half the time.
  • Depending on who is chosen for item crafting, the fact that the character models share expressions and poses at the end of the crafting scene can lead to some results that are hilariously out of character, such as Rena with a Playful Cat Smile or Uta flashing a mischievous smile that looks far more on place on Yuki.
  • Yuzu becomes The Comically Serious before she gets her memory back. After speaking with Hinako, she stands near the Heartscape wheel to give explanations and advice to the party. What does she do if it's raining? Stand in the same place while holding an umbrella rather than take shelter.
  • After crafting the rice field, Ao and Kokoro can have a date together at the field where this exchange occurs
Ao: You'll...show me where to put it?
Kokoro: ...Ao. What are you thinking?
Ao: Huh? Nothing at all! Nothing about getting wet or dirty or anything!
Kokoro: Ugh! We're supposed to be growing rice! Leave your weird fantasies somewhere else!
  • A conversation moment when Kirara will confide she's been having issues sleeping, Ao can offer to sleep with her.
Kirara: Fine then, I'll sleep with you tonight. But it's my first time so... please be gentle.
  • One event has Rena, Shiho, and Hinako scolding Ao for skipping out on her turn for cleaning duty. Ao comes up with an excuse to have been doing something for one of the three, so they decide to forgive her. Immediately after Ao leaves, Yuki sends a message to the FreeSpace group with pictures of her and Ao messing around during the time she was supposedly doing what she'd said. The three immediately leave to chase her down.
  • In a scene added to the 1.05 update, Yuki is thinking the Extreme School Makeover needs something "with real oomph!" and this exchange happens:
    Kokoro: Seems like your problem.
Yuki: Hmmm? Are you sure you wanna say that Kokoro? People on my team...all get donuts!
    Kokoro: I agree with Yuki!
Yuki: [Flashes a Cheshire Cat Grin that absolutely sells the moment.]
  • Even arguably the most terrifying moment in the game has one of these. When Yuki confronts the party in her Heartscape and reveals herself to be a spy for the World System trying to defeat them, she goes on a huge Motive Rant about how unfair it is that she had to die because of her weak immune system and everyone else got to enjoy life, claiming she's embracing her role and happy to Put Them All Out of My Misery. Rena's response? A sarcastic "You make a good villain."
