• In the opening scene of Marvel vs. DC, a confused Spider-Man winds up in Gotham City and meets the Joker, who had been planning to blow up a building before being frustrated by a heavy downpour.

  JOKER: So much for the lovely evening I had planned. I could just kill the weatherman. Hmmm, there's a thought.

• Namor corners Aquaman in their duel (in a Seaworld-like setting), only for DC's king of the sea to call an orca into the fight. The whale unceremoniously belly-flops onto Namor with a WAM!

  AQUAMAN: That's your weakness, Namor. You're too noble to cheat.

• As the joined universes separate again, Access "is buffeted mercilessly, and he is convinced that the thought currently passing through his head is going to be his last. And frustration overwhelms him ... because it's really a lame thought. Not even worth repeating, really."
