  • Bill Murray's single scene cameo in the first episode, as scandal-ridden Senator Vernon Smits. He hams it up spectacularly, with a glorious string of Cluster F-Bombs. The highlight:
Vern: (muffled, increasingly distant) WHY, MOTHERFUCKER?! WHY, MOTHERFUCKER?! WHY?!
  • Andy goes upstairs to fetch Robert for a prayer meeting. He opens three doors in the process and finds a.) Louis's social media aide James Whippy masturbating to a video screen of Louis's daughter Lola pleasuring herself, b.) Gil John's legislative aide Tammy Stackhouse having sex with Bettencourt's aide Aaron Stimson underneath a table while the latter shouts "I love camping!" and c.) in the bathroom, Robert, who is obviously baked on marijuana. And all of this is occurring during a prayer meeting.
  • Louis going on The Colbert Report and getting into a homoerotic wrestling match. And he's furious to find he's become a meme as a result.
  • After James accidentally uploads his dick-pic to Louis' public Twitter account, Louis has to answer questions about it—inevitably, one of the reporters asks if it is Louis' penis and that there's no way to prove that it's not really his. It's all set to become a major scandal until Louise nudges him aside and sweetly informs the reporters that "It's not him. A wife knows."
  • Laffer's daughter hooks up with his social media aide. One time, they are seen "soaking" (a sexual practice where the guy inserts his penis into the girl's vagina, but doesn't move at all) in an increasingly number of bizarre locations, including on a kitchen counter and on a couch.
  • Bettencourt's primary debate in Philadelphia at the end of the first season is hilarious. He wants to be the only sane man, and it turns out his work's cut out for him because his candidates are A) a restaurant owner who boasts about his ability to dodge income taxes , B) a PETA treasurer, C) a guy who is the self-proclaimed reincarnation of James Buchanan (and even debates in character), D) an alchemist, E) a self-educated libertarian who advocates the repeal of all laws, and F) a 9/11 truther. Watching this bunch of misfits 'debate' is hilarious unto itself especially with Bettencourt being the straight guy in all of this.
