     Fridge Brilliance
  • While playing WWE '12, this troper noticed during the Hero Story, in the Royal Rumble match, in the WCW Invasion part, you couldn't eliminate either Cody Rhodes, or the Big Show. It was confusing as to why, until the cutscene afterward occurred during the match and Kevin Nash came out, and pointed at both of them. Cody's father is the late Dusty Rhodes, and the Big Show used to be known as the Giant back when he started wrestling. And both Dusty Rhodes and the Giant were former WCW wrestlers at points in their careers.
  • In 2K22, Dakota Kai being able to convince Finn Balor to support her falsely accusing the new star of insulting the Legends serving as trainers at the Performance Center makes sense when you remember Balor's (And AJ Styles') feud with Buzz in 2K19. She likely reminded him how he believed Buzz was using him to get to the top and held him down and that the new star was doing the same to her. She convinced him to help her do whatever she had to do to eliminate her "Buzz" before she could do to her what Buzz did to him.

     Fridge Horror
  • Here Comes the Pain has several moments of these:
    • One storyline in the Season mode involves your character getting a Diva manager. Eventually, your manager is challenged to a match by another male on the roster. Since the Divas in this game have very poor stats, this match is likely to be a male-on-female No-Holds-Barred Beatdown while the referee fervously circumvents any attempts you make at stopping your manager from being treated like a human punching bag. Unless you constantly interfere in the match, your manager is highly likely to lose, at which point their opponent forcibly grabs their arm and disappears with them backstage against their will. This part of the storyline is just rife with Unfortunate Implications.
    • Another storyline involves Vince McMahon offering to take you under his wing, should you continue your career solo without Power Stable. You can choose to take his offer or to rebel against him. Should you choose the former, the WWE chairman will be delighted that you accepted his offer and starts to twist matches in your favor. The creepy part? Vince will one day put you on a match against a Diva from the opposite alignment, with DQ on, so you are ensured with unfair advantage since no one can interfere and the Diva cannot use weapons. This is similar to the previous example, except you are the one doing the beatings. Even more so, when Vince finally grows tired of using you, he then throws you under the bus (figuratively) and offers someone else the same thing he offered to you. This is another form of Unfortunate Implications, that the Boss can do whatever they want just because they have money and power, even after so many underhanded things you have done to please them.
