Isn't it strange how the young Jesus, who is both stated and shown to be God in Human Form as a kid, seems as ignorant of the world as any normal child? But think about how the adult Jesus is depicted; a total goofball who messes around with his buddies. It's likely that kid Jesus isn't much different. He's not ignorant about what a virgin is, he's just messing around with his family for laughs!
One comic strip (5/28/2021) has Mary being tempted by a serpent to eat fruit like Eve was. Only this time she refuses, punching the serpent, and asking "Why on earth would I accept some weird fruit from a creepy talking snake?!". Maybe it's a one-off gag, or maybe it's a reference to how the early Church Fathers believed Mary was a "New Eve" - meaning that just how Eve's disobedience to God brought death to the world, Mary's obedience and sinlessness brought life and salvation. So Mary unlike Eve rejects the serpent's temptation.
