  • Pay attention to the intro and you'll hear hints of a Bollywood movie-like sound, like in the intro's first 3 seconds when Uncle Joe gives his nephew The Book. Later on in the series, you find out Joe and his family is of Indian descent.
  • In the Genghis Khan episode, it actually makes sense that Disguised in Drag Fred gets an enthusiastic response out of Genghis's evil cousin; Joe and Sam both have features that wouldn't be out of place in nearby countries while Fred's combo of blond hair and pale skin, while not impossible to be Russian, are much more exotic and it certainly isn't found in any of the local girls we see, meaning "she" is clearly new and free to be wooed.
  • In the books, seeing King Arthur's court played dead straight in the first book - complete with giants and dragons - can initially be seen as Early-Installment Weirdness, given that the books quickly started becoming more historically accurate afterwards. However, later installments would have the boys tumble into other books and into a play based on ancient Greek myth. It seems "Knights of the Dinner Table" didn't take them back in time, but into a work of fiction, though the boys didn't realize it at the time.
