Fridge / The Ghost Next Door

Go To

Fridge Brilliance

  • The book's cover only shows the ghost and the kid's feet from a downward perspective. This actually has a narrative purpose, because it's to hide the identity of the titular ghost: Hannah.

Fridge Horror

  • Throughout the book, Hannah writes letters to her friend Janey Prince, berating her for not responding to her letters and even insulting her for it. It's Played for Laughs, but judging by The Reveal that Hannah was a ghost all along, how will Janey feel when she receives angry letters from a friend who had died in a fire years ago?
