  • Given that Ava and Schmidt reenter Earth's atmosphere in an area that's pretty damn close to the original monster, it's safe to assume that the two died upon colliding with a section of the monster's body or were immediately eaten, putting another downer on an already bittersweet ending.
  • Depending on how long they were gone and noticing that baby Clover while big was seemingly not big enough for its head to reach the clouds it is very likely that this is Clover's mother!
    • It gets worse. Remember that, according to Word of God, Clover died when the Hammerdown Protocol was initiated. So not only is Earth being invaded by an enormous Kaiju, it's supremely pissed off because its baby is dead.
    • Why is the idea that the monster is Clover's mother so prominent on this wiki? It's much more likely that it's just an adult member of Clover's species. The two are not even in the same universe: Clover's attack happened in 2008 in a world where by the time of Paradox Manhattan would be gone and humanity would've been aware of kaijus. The events of the first movie did not take place in the same universe as Paradox, merely in the same multiverse and as a result of the events of Paradox.
  • That girl that Michael finds and tends to? The one that was just in close proximity to Clover? What if she's been... bitten by one of its parasites?
  • What if Mission Control wasn't cheering after the station finally had a stable beam? What if they were actually screaming because of a monster attack? (Which could explain why there was no time for them to warn the protagonists about the situation.)
    • Not the case. Michael was speaking with them clearly over the radio. The real issue is that he said "these things." Which means that there may be more than JUST one...
    • Then again, he could be referring to the parasites. Or the aliens...
