Fridge Brilliance

  • When Groundhawk tells the civilian filming his bank robbery to get out of the way, he might actually be trying to get them out of dodge. After all, Groundhawk knows he's gonna have to fight Nubian Prince soon and it's doubtful a non-Supe would get out unscathed if caught in the crossfire.
  • The eco-terrorists are an example of Unintentionally Unsympathetic, aren't they? Maybe we are not supposed to sympathize with them at all, they are morons who tried to murder innocent people, pretended to be heroes, and blamed the deaths they caused on the one who was really trying to save those people, they are not much different than what Homelander would become.

Fridge Horror

  • While a lot of the kids' powers from the second episode are genuinely useless, like ejaculating ranch dressing or constantly moving in slow motion, and some would only be useful if the person had Required Secondary Powers (like Ghost and Kingdom), Narrator and Flashback actually have really useful powers. Flashback can see the past of anyone, while Narrator seems to be essentially omniscient in what he puts his mind into and can tell people what's going on even when he isn't there. Both of these powers would allow for instant solving of crime cases and the ability to find up what terrorists are planning before they do anything respectively. What makes this Fridge Horror is the fact that this society has been so conditioned to only accept the flashy powers that they don't accept anything else, even if those powers could save a lot of lives and belong to their own flesh and blood.
    • On the other hand, Flashback and Narrator's powers may end up becoming liabilities if they end up knowing too much or dug too deep. Leading to ruined relationships or exposing Vought.
  • Even if Sun-Hee sacrificed herself to destroy the cancer monster, her husband John might still be on the run from Vought who'd be petty enough to destroy his life.
  • In episode 8, Homelander's relationship with Madelyn is given an even more disturbing implication than before, after it shows that she was one of the people in charge of conditioning him as a child. When she encourages Homelander to compete with Black Noir, she gropes him into getting an erection, which he appears uncomfortable with. With this in mind, and that she is Homelander's main authority figure, it's very possible that she groomed him into being her sexual partner as a child. With his handler and mother figure also being his sexual abuser, it's no wonder he ended up so twisted.
