Fridge Brilliance

  • In the first movie, before they set out on their quest Logray gives out a collection of different treasures to the ones going along. To Mace he gives what looks like an ordinary rock, which Mace throws away because he feels like he's getting shafted (fortunately Wicket knows Logray well enough to know he must've had a reason and keeps it himself). A little Fridge Brilliance sets in when you think Logray may have been setting Mace up for a lesson with it though, since he actually did give Mace the least cool-seeming, but most important, of the quest items. It's ultimately what shows them how to get inside the Gorax's lair; they would've made the whole trip for nothing without it. Maybe Logray was trying to teach the impulsive teen that appearances can be deceiving.
  • The Gorax explains why the Ewoks were so well equipped to deal with the Imperials and their war machines: they made the traps to protect themselves from the Gorax and his pets in case it came by, and when they took on the Empire they just repurposed them.

Fridge Horror

  • The idea of a giving a life monitor to your childs. "Okay, little one. Wear this wristband. If this light goes out, mom has died. It this one goes out, dad has gone. If all three goes out, then you're an orphan and sucks to be you". No, the monitor won't help you to get near us if you get lost. It only says if we're alive or not.
    • Yup, any kind of GPS locator would be WAY MORE USEFUL than just a magic light that says "Mom is dead, try to not get traumatized"
