Dr. Marco, Ph.D's "Art Therapy" worked better than he realized, if the viewer notices the faces of the monsters painted by Star.
The painting features:
- Buff Frog and Ludo on the left as a two-headed monster, representing their co-dependence as sidekick and master, respectively;
- Pony Head on the right as a solo, full-bodied unicorn, representing her independence, compared to her friend Star;
- and Star in the center—painfully constricted by a snake monster that looks suspiciously like her mother, Queen Butterfly.
Before Dr. Marco and his patient ever get to the Inkblot Test, the picture already shows that Star feels pressured and restrained by a mother that demands her to be a proper storybook princess.
