- At the end of the film, Roy says his real name is Wyatt Earp, and Chon Wang remarks that it's a terrible name for a cowboy. The joke is supposed to be that they're deriding the name of one of the most famous lawmen in the Wild West, but Chon is right — the gang Earp rode against in his famous Roaring Rampage of Revenge was named the Cowboys.
- In Shanghai Knights, Rathbone shoots Artie in the shoulder, perhaps providing him the inspiration for Watson’s injuries from the war.
